Memorizing answers is hard. Learning is easy! The course explains the "why" behind each correct answer on the amateur radio exam so you'll understand and remember.
It's a complete learning system. The fasttrackham.com web site has custom-made practice exams that integrate with the chapters in the book and audiobook—study a chapter, then take a practice exam on that chapter. The Fast Track explains the logic behind each correct answer.
It's simple: When you understand the subjects, you remember the answers and pass the test. You'll have a solid grounding in ham radio basics.

Even the smartest among us can feel inept as we fail to figure out which light switch or oven burner to turn on, or whether to push, pull, or slide a door. The fault, argues this ingenious - even liberating - audiobook, lies not in ourselves, but in product design that ignores the needs of users and the principles of cognitive psychology. The Design of Everyday Things shows that good, usable design is possible. The rules are simple: make things visible, exploit natural relationships that couple function and control, and make intelligent use of constraints.

Story
Barely 50 years ago a computer was a gargantuan, vastly expensive thing that only a handful of scientists had ever seen. The world's brightest engineers were stymied in their quest to make these machines small and affordable until the solution finally came from two ingenious young Americans. Jack Kilby and Robert Noyce hit upon the stunning discovery that would make possible the silicon microchip, a work that would ultimately earn Kilby the Nobel Prize for physics in 2000.

As we use the Web for social networking, shopping, and news, we leave a personal trail. These days, linger over a Web page selling lamps, and they will turn up at the advertising margins as you move around the Internet, reminding you, tempting you to make that purchase. Search engines such as Google can now look deep into the data on the Web to pull out instances of the words you are looking for. And there are pages that collect and assess information to give you a snapshot of changing political opinion.

Ignition! is the story of the search for a rocket propellant which could be trusted to take man into space. This search was a hazardous enterprise carried out by rival labs who worked against the known laws of nature, with no guarantee of success or safety. John Drury Clark writes with irreverent and eyewitness immediacy about the development of the explosive fuels strong enough to negate the relentless restraints of gravity. The resulting volume is as much a memoir as a work of history, sharing a behind-the-scenes view of an enterprise that eventually took men to the moon.

When most of us think about artificial intelligence, our minds go straight to cyborgs, robots, and sci-fi thrillers where machines take over the world. But the truth is that artificial intelligence is already among us. It exists in our smartphones, fitness trackers, and refrigerators that tell us when the milk will expire. In some ways the future people dreamed of at the World's Fair in the 1960s is already here. We're teaching our machines how to think like humans, and they're learning at an incredible rate.

Story
Before smartphones, back even before the Internet and personal computer, a misfit group of technophiles, blind teenagers, hippies, and outlaws figured out how to hack the world’s largest machine: the telephone system. Starting with Alexander Graham Bell’s revolutionary "harmonic telegraph", by the middle of the 20th century the phone system had grown into something extraordinary, a web of cutting-edge switching machines and human operators that linked together millions of people like never before. But the network had a billion-dollar flaw, and once people discovered it, things would never be the same.

Well Done
You’ll feel smarter at the end than you do in the beginning. Humor along the way helps. A little Pavlovian mind conditioning is inserted for good measure. I expect to hear little bells in my mind when the correct answers appear in front of me on the exam.

This truly was the fast track!
The pacing and character of this audiobook really helped me in learning everything I needed to know to study for the Technician test, on top of putting me in what I feel is a good enough position to learn more and get started in actually doing ham radio, in about a week's time. Ended up scoring perfect on the exam. Planning on taking General next month, and I think I know what I'm going to listen to next to study for that~

Fantastic in every way
Amazing narrator who clearly is passionate with years of knowledge about the subject. Really pleasant and easy to listen to voice. He does an amazing job layering in context, relevant stories, humor, and gives the whole book a really enjoyable storytelling feel. I never would have guessed that a ham radio book could be a pleasure to listen to but this one truly is and is giving me a lot of confidence and knowledge for passing the exam!

I got my license thanks to this book!
I also went listened to the General Class book and passed both tests in my first attempt! Listen to these books, print out the related exhibits offered from the website, keep a copy nearby of all the possible test questions (question pool is available on the AARL website), take notes, practice the math, and when questions are being read in the book, read along and mark the correct answer in the question pool (look at the questions... just don't listen to them). This book was very well done, well organized, and Michael has just the right tone and energy in his speaking to keep it fresh and easily consumable to the ear. This book and the accompanying steps above was all I needed to pass these tests and I'm not a tech person by any means.

This all you need to understand and pass!
I tried the dummies book, and the entire AARL Handbook- a total waste of my time and money.
Fortunately the Burnettes have taken their time and expertise to put together this fun, organized and fully supported study program to get you ready to pass the HAM technician license test.
I worked it through in about 3 weeks of concentrated study and had an excellent score on my first try. I also purchased the Kindle version of the book (it's a MUCH better value than either of the other books I mention) so I would have the diagrams easily available. Be sure to use their web site with the guided practice tests. You will thoroughly understand the information and the test process and get your license! Thank you!
