To much of Zach’s story though… just saying. He is super boring. I also appreciate the ch that are only for there screen so you can skip it if you want.

So for the quick points... Great narrator. Good story. Worth the credit. If that's what you need then move on. This other stuff is... semantics sorta... I guess. a bit of small spoil. but I'll use vague language.

It took me a while to like and understand Zack. I don't agree with him... but I don't agree with Ryun either. Thing is with what happens against the King in Yellow... I'm just bummed. Not for the composition of the group afterward... you can't do a mission like that without loss. Its Zack. Something HAS to be figured out. I've already read the book after this and it's still a problem. What's the point in making a character who has that skill? "The Last Heir Of Terra" (I know the name changed)... What's the point in giving him that skill, that standpoint, that way of looking at the world, that WHOLE personality... and then just retconning him into oblivion? If The DealMaker can interact with Ryun through his madness and then again through a vision where he experiences that Eternal cultivator...he can give back what Zack lost with enough context for it to be useful enough for him to not lose all that character progression. Idk. Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong... and maybe this is a temporary thing. Just seems like he took all the antagonistic, anti-Ryun sentiment and chucked it. Idk. Again.... I may be wrong and in 2 years I'll have to come back and edit this.

You know what would be really great....? If Audible had a comment section only available to those that finish the books. And then they made it with actual U.S free speech laws. Because I'm real effin sick of writing a full review and then it mysteriously won't post until I take out my "unapproved" opinions. The fact that we have to censor ourselves about the stories we read is really NOT okay. There are other issues in this story for example... but I can't even BEGIN to bring them up or this will not post. It isn't right. Sigh... Probably shouldn't use Audible review for soap boxing I guess. Enjoy the story.

One of the things I dislike most in a book are time skips and complete dismantling of a character. It was automatic drop to 8/10 at the very beginning of the book with all the time skips. Then it dropped a 7 out of 10 when one of the characters just became a boring prisoner. It dropped again to 6 out of 10 with the awkward relationship situations. It dropped down to 4 out of 10 with the whole retconning of the main character. Basically making everything he's ever done And experienced pointless. For the last point is sidelining the other main character. The author's writing is good. The choices he's made for the story and its direction are awful. Quite frankly, I'm disappointed. Tragedy should be added to this books description genre. Excessive power scaling issues. I can say he did one thing better this book then the last ones and that's separating the stats from the chapter. I hope this helps future listeners expectations keep them low.¯⁠\⁠_⁠ಠ⁠_⁠ಠ⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Why did they change it so that I need to write 15 words to leave a review. It's a great book. However, some chapters just need to be shortened. Especially the chapters for character sheets. The addition of naming them character sheet chapters was smart

I just started and truth I don’t mind the level slash power up chapters I notice a few reviews complain about. This series is good and I wish I got more hours of story. I just started this one felt like it snuck up on me tho. Either way I wish sometimes I woke up in this situation. Dangerous but the growth in strength

Of listening to these books, is knowing that the next one isn’t coming out for months if not a year. This series continues to be one of the best in the little genre.

this was a good story, Ivan Kal shepherded the characters through interesting phases, the realm is growing and the tumult grows with it

Author does tend to favor/plot armor Zach to his strength yet the book and series remain epic and engaging.

I just read some negative reviews, first off I'm offended because of how much I love this series. Is there 20 min stats yeah every great now and then, However the characters are so damn interesting, and powerful you want to hear them to know where they stand as time goes by. I love the stat chapters and honestly its not at all that often. If your checking out these reviews of all the books to decide on starting this series. Look at these people begging for ryun, some say less Zach, some say they love Zach. Who knows which one you'll go for. That's the whole point, you'll be torn between the two. Kal is on to some real Gold here people, this should be a dang television series it's really that good. I swear anyone who hates this series has zero imagination if you ask me. The world he has created is amazing. Do yourself a favor buy this book if you've read the others. And start this series if you are just reading reviews. It's so worth it I've had 4 friends I led to this series and they've all thanked me for it.

Out of 780 books this series is my favorite.
