About this listen

Lucifer meets Practical Magic in this opposites attract witchy rom-com brimming with sass, spice, and small-town charm!

What’s a broke tea witch to do when she’s about to lose her beloved café?

No idea, but chugging magic mojitos and drunk-summoning the Devil was definitely the wrong call.

Now, I’m stuck with the house guest from Hell—literally—and we couldn’t be more opposite: a homebody who brews healing teas and reads romance novels to her cats versus a sexy-as-sin playboy with a pitchfork tattoo on his butt and a fondness for public day-drinking. In the nude. Ergo, the pitchfork discovery.

Infuriating!

I’ve tried to send the Dark Prince packing, but the spell won’t let him leave—not until he unlocks my so-called “heart’s desire.”

Well. My only desire is to clear my debt and save the café, which would be a lot easier if I wasn’t so distracted by his stupidly charming British accent.

Or the smile that keeps incinerating perfectly innocent panties.

Or the spellbinding, toe-curling, never-should’ve-happened kiss at the Wayward Bay Halloween Ball that has me believing in a different kind of magic:

Love.

So maybe the real question is… What’s a broke tea witch to do when she’s about to lose her café and her heart?

The Devil Made Me Brew It is the first book in The Witches of Wayward Bay, a series of standalone paranormal rom-coms where the magic is real and the witches always get their magically-ever-afters. No cliffhangers, guaranteed HEAs, and plenty of heat, humor, and heart!

This audiobook features duet narration and is perfect for fans of opposites attract romance, forced proximity romance, stuck together romance, fish out of water romance, and he falls first!

Cute story… love the duet narration.

Ms Piper knocks another one out of the park. A fun romantic romp made better by the duet narration! It was a movie in my mind. There are many great narrators out there that can pull off voicing their co-leads voice…but this was magical and the interplay allowed for added chemistry in the performance. Hope this becomes a new norm for many books in the future.

Oh what a devilish good time!

Samantha Brentmoor + Shane East!? YES PLEASE!

This story was fun, light hearted, had me laughing out loud and just spicy enough to keep the fun going. I adored getting to know Violet and her Prince Of Darkness, Devlin. They were the cutest together!

The way Samantha and Shane brought these two to life was epic! Perfection! The banter was awesome!

Complete the story with a haunted vibrator and this story is a keeper!

Can't wait for more Witches Of Wayward Bay fun!

Oh, you sweet Devil...

What a an absolute delight of an audiobook!
Violet Pepperdine is a tea witch who’s been having trouble keeping her beloved cafe afloat. She’s a very sensible, romance reader homebody who’s completely broke and the situation is dire. In a rare moment of self-pity, she does something completely out of character and chugs down some magical lemonitos, spills her drink all over her spreadsheets, spell books and tarot cards and … OOOOOPS… summons The Devil. Yes, the very own Prince of Darkness. A debonair, smoking jacket wearing, well, devil of a man, with a swoony British accent and a pitchfork tattooed on his “cinnamon bun”. She not only drunkenly summoned the devil but it’s a binding spell that can only be broken after he discovers her “heart’s desire”. To his utter surprise. It’s the Devil who discovers what truly lays deeply in his heart.
This audiobook is narrated in duet and what a treat it was to listen to Samantha Brentmoor slay as Violet (and all the other witches). She has the perfect comedic timing and she can also get you all in the feels. And who else but Shane East to give voice to Declan (think Lucifer from the tv show), the suave, full of swagger but unexpectedly vulnerable Prince of Hell.
It’s funny, sweet, swoony and you know Violet is up for a good time with a man who knows everything about being naughty.
Small town vibes, opposites attract, witchy shenanigans, devilish things, rom com vibes… everything I needed right now.
I can’t wait for the next ones, especially Olivy’s story! A total treat!

Adorable romance, spicy scenes, great duet narration. Devil meets tea witch in a small town. If you liked Lucifer on TV, you can picture him in this book. Can’t wait for more in the series on audible
