Publisher's summary
In the history of Dragon Kingdoms, there has never before been a period in time during which all four regions were represented by bonded riders. As the reign of the Northeastern Dragon Kingdom approaches its end, one successor will be chosen among many as the dragon king ascendant. Due to the unique circumstances surrounding the previous dragon king's lineage, he has chosen to convene a Conference of Kings to determine which dragon champion will ascend to his throne. The conference will weed out the weakest, and challenge even the strongest, and the last dragon standing will have unquestionably earned the respect of all who participate.
The contenders will be many, but the individual challenges they must complete will demand exceptional battle skills, deep wisdom, tactical diplomacy, and perseverance above and beyond anything they have ever faced before. In the end, there can only be one dragon king ascendant, and it will be King T'Aer Bolun Dakkar, holding the keys to the Northeastern Dragon Kingdom.
Following the selection of the dragon king ascendant, the region would also need a bonded rider who can match the passion, character, and intelligence demanded of a dragon king. As the most powerful dragon of all time, the Northwestern Dragon King is certain to set a bar unattainable by most, for he is not only the king of all dragon kings. He is also... Jake's Dragon.

Since Jake’s inability to connect with others had made him somewhat of an outcast for most of his life, he’d learned to divert his energy into his artistic talent, creating mesmerizing images capable of literally paralyzing anyone who should gaze upon them.

Most of the successful private prospectors who’d struck it rich during the California and Nevada gold rushes during the mid- to late-1800s, had journeyed westward with a specific plan from which they never deviated. Upon achieving their pre-defined goals, they packed up and returned to their original homes in distant regions of the United States. There were also plenty of others, who’d been unable to pull the plug after striking it rich, believing their lucky streak to be a never-ending one.

It has been two years, thirteen days, and twelve hours since the freaks came out of hiding. Now they are a part of everyday life; so vanilla that some people don't see the subtle shades of difference between them and the normal humans. But there are differences, and some humans will stop at nothing to make sure these freaks are never considered normal. Nowhere is this clearer than where very human Lilah Wright goes to school, JWB High school. Lilah was once a champion for the downtrodden and bullied, her former best friend, Oliver Payne, would attest to that.

I liked how this one was more about the dragons. Traditions is something I feel I being lost. It was nice to hear the dragons traditions on such a scale throughout the book.

The life of Jake Continues
This book continues the happenings in the life of Jake and his dragon as things change. The MCs are once again, going forward involved in trying to keep things balanced on the Planet. Narration is well done and I am amazed that the Narrator can pronounce the name of the various dragons.

way to finish on a positive strong note
amazing conclusion to the series. great narration.. wonderful positive eye. view the whole series and if we're lucky, a nice setup for a whole new series set in the same world. hopefully the author will either explore Jake's kids or maybe some side stories about the adventures of some of the other dragon kings in their partners
if you haven't read the first three in this series, pick them up and read them first. you won't be sorry you did

Amazing series of the whole family can enjoy
Continuation of the story of Jake and his beloved Dragon until they change the world they’re in
Oliver’s narration continues to be amazing and I truly enjoy how he changes up the voice styles for different species.
