Blood and souls for my Lord Arioch!

Once again, Moorcock delivers an epic tale worthy of Elric, Moonglum, and the most treacherous of all, Stormbringer. Phenomenal writing and performance.

Poor narrator

Narrator voice gets very annoying by the end of the book. I have always greatly enjoyed this author. Listening to him drone foran hour about Xiombarg's ranting made me not want to finish the book.

Depends

Must if you are an Elric fan. Not good for the multiverse intro book. A lot assumes you are familiar with history. Reading is decent, I just got a little confused which character was speaking at times. Overall, a worthwhile read to keep Elric saga going.

Still the Man

Probably my favorite narrative outside the original six books. Excellent work. Moorcock's style has improved, and his imagination is boundless (like always).

not bad not great

Another Elric saga, more history, gods, lore. Could be about half as long taking out the tedious repeating narrative of Elric’s history concerning his cousin and wife, got it already. That being said, if you want more Elric, go for it.

Suitably Epic

Suitably epic and disturbing Elric adventure that takes place prior to the destruction and remaking of the multiverse.

only for those. well read in the previous books

it felt very much like an older author reminiscing and giving a few more clues as to the way the universe or in this case multiverse works.

The plot is a bit convoluted

The plot is convoluted but the narrator lifts it up. For Those who love Michael Moorcock it’s a must.

Return of the Prince

Blood and souls for Elric fans! Also, Hawkwind fans. Possibly disciples of Blue Oyster Cult.
