About this listen
Poverty and sickness are on the rise, as the Order of the Enlightened Sun remains silent.
In the two-year wake of the battle of Katahn, Stratia cries in pain and rage, desperate for answers or a place for their blame.
But they are not alone in their anger!
Fearing a repeat of ancient history, the Kasarin Empire sends an overwhelming army, led by the titan Zenen’Rol, to eradicate every Stratian.
Now, Rylin, Ishell, and a handful of Lights, must defy the apathetic wishes of the Order, and defend Stratia. They will rally with the stalwart and exhausted forces of Malkanor to defend against the coming army of fury.
But hidden in the shadows, the schemes of the hellish Book of Worms persist; even from within an impassable barrier of spirit...

Story
The world of Pravahs suffered from a time of darkness and genocide at their hands. These demon-instructed magi turned the skies black, led an army of the living dead and demons in a global conquest, and left miles of burned earth in their hellfire assaults. Their defeat was nothing short of miraculous. While the land remembers, people forget. The people of the continent of Stratia have dismissed the ancient "Black Decade" as myth, even while their blood runs cold with fear at the mention of the dreaded "Void Hands".

Story
In the not too distant future, on a decaying space-station from a high Venus orbit, a cantankerous and disgraced scientist awaits the delivery of a mysterious shipment. He hopes to use it to invent a new propulsion system and, in doing so, salvage his reputation. However, the station’s decommissioning crew, led by Chief O’Connor, are skeptical about his plans. They believe them to be nothing but drunken delusions, a theory which seems more than plausible given the bold and outlandish claims he has been making of late.

Good story
the story was good better than other big name books. they voice acting was good some repeating here and there didnt take anything from the story though. i was recommended this book by a new dnd group i joined. the author and the narrator seem like people that take into consideration opinions the audience give. i did listen to the last live reading of a chapter and enjoyed it. as for the book it has a good story and world building. The main character does make mistakes but not like your typical MC that just makes mistakes bc the author is lazy and puts him in situations that only deux ex-machina can get them out of trouble. keep up the great job i am looking forward to see where the story takes us and the progress of both author amd narrator.

As always, a wonderful story!
Jason Harrington brings us another epic heart racing story of dark magic, and the troubles of Stratia. Rylin faces insurmountable ods yet again, and the development building toward Creations End has me super excited. It's a story (and series) worth listening too.
For Mason-
Nice job on your improvements with the narration from book one. The quality of the audio was a little spotty at first but it ironed out after a few chapters. Your voices have improved hugely, and you should be proud of that. I still think you can improve even more, but that's just coming from a stingy voice narrator like me lol. Keep up the solid work! I look forward to giving you a 5 star for book 3!

gotta get back in time
Book 2 is a thrilling continuation of an epic science fiction and fantasy saga that masterfully blends time travel, mysticism, and interdimensional conflict. With a richly woven narrative and captivating characters, this audiobook takes listeners on a mesmerizing journey through a world where the boundaries of time and space blur.
Jason Harrington demonstrates exceptional storytelling prowess, skillfully building upon the groundwork laid in the first installment. The intricate web of the plot is brought to life with vivid descriptions and intricate attention to detail. From the bustling streets of futuristic metropolises to the ancient ruins of forgotten civilizations, the settings are vividly portrayed, immersing the listener in the multifaceted universe of the Void Triangle.
The central character, the enigmatic Chronomancer, continues to evolve and reveal deeper layers of his persona. His internal struggles and moral dilemmas add a compelling emotional depth to the narrative. Alongside him, a cast of multifarious characters, each with their own motivations and secrets, contributes to the tapestry of alliances and betrayals that drive the story forward.
One of the audiobook's standout elements is its innovative approach to time manipulation and its consequences. The author tackles the complexities of time travel with finesse, avoiding common pitfalls and paradoxes. This results in a coherent and intelligible depiction of temporal shifts that remains engaging throughout the story.
The pacing of the audiobook strikes a commendable balance between character development, action-packed sequences, and moments of introspection. While the narrative is enthralling, some listeners might find certain sections of exposition a bit dense. However, this serves to enrich the world-building and provide a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies at play.
The production quality of the audiobook is impeccable, with the narrator's skillful delivery enhancing the immersive experience. The voice acting and pacing of dialogue maintain the listener's engagement, making it easy to become absorbed in the unfolding events.
Though this second installment delivers on many fronts, some may find themselves wishing for a bit more closure in certain plot threads. The audiobook tantalizingly sets the stage for the next installment, leaving listeners eager for answers to lingering questions.
This is a captivating audiobook that successfully builds upon its predecessor's foundation. With its intricate world-building, well-crafted characters, and innovative approach to time travel, it is a must-listen for science fiction and fantasy enthusiasts. While a touch more resolution in certain aspects would have been welcome, the audiobook's strengths far outweigh its minor shortcomings. As the saga continues to unfold, listeners can anticipate an exciting and intricate journey through the cosmos and beyond.

Death and Destruction!
This book was nonstop action with the invading Crimson army after the Book of Worms. Characters continue to be developed. I particularly like how minor characters are beginning to be more fully developed and becoming more major characters. Author does seem to have a fascination with entrails because that seemed to be included in all the gruesome deaths. Narration was great.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
