About this listen
It’s all hands on deck after head rooster J.T. Cluck files an alarming report that the Charlies have invaded the ranch! And, things go from bad to worse when, in the midst of the chaos, Drover turns up missing. Between J.T.’s report and some important clues from Pete, the Security Force has no choice but to assume that he's been taken hostage! Will Hank be able to rescue his deputy from the Charlies in time—or even find out where they're hiding him—or is it curtains for everyone's favorite sidekick?

Not as good as other Hanks
The author needs to come up with new material, but after 81 books you caint blame him.

Classic Hank...
Always in trouble and always witty and clueless. A wonderful story that I likely love more than my children.

Normally love Hank, but this one falls short
As much as I usually like Hank, this one was good, but not great. It’s always been a trope that Hank is easily distracted and rambles about nonsense. However, in this particular story, that mechanism is overused so it’s not funny, but rather just tedious.
In fact, the entire sequence of events is based on nonsense that Hank makes up in his own head. As a consequence, there’s no real action or drama. Large parts of the story are quite frankly just boring, which is unusual for Hank.
There are some funny moments, but overall, this isn’t one of the better books in the series.

Not as captivating and entertaining as the other 80 books.
This story is a three star. The other 80 Hank books are 10 star stories on a star scale of 1-5.
