Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Such a good story!
First, I didn’t realize until midway through the first book, that this was probably a book for the youth, but it was so good and had a great story line! I finished all three in just under 2 days! I so wanted Wayne Collins to fall just a boogie trap, but the ending was so cool and made me smile. What a great example!

Adults can enjoy YA adventures too!
Book three is the last book in the Caesar thrilogy and I enjoyed it the most because of the ending. I've been reading books since forever and never was I so pleased to have a book end this way. It was just plain heartwarming to see two villains turn into good people all to the kindness and suggestions of the three youngsters. I was totally blown away!
I am definitely a big fan of this author and I send my thanks to him for not using annoying cliches which are the downfall of so many of my favorite writers.
Annoying cliches include "And what if I don't?"; "You'll never get away with this!", "That's impossible!", and "Are you kidding?", just to name a few. None of these turned up in this fine thrilogy.
Keep up the good work!
