About this listen

When Keira first receives her breast cancer diagnosis, she never expects to end up joining a running group with three women she’s only just met. Totally blindsided, all she can think about is how she doesn’t want to tell her family or step back from work. Nor does she want to be part of a group of fellow cancer patients. Cancer is not her club.

And yet it’s running - hot, sweaty, Lycra-clad running in the company of brilliant, funny women all going through treatment - that unexpectedly gives Keira the hope she so urgently needs. Because Kiera will not be defined by the C-word. And now, with the Cancer Ladies’ Running Club cheering her on, she is going to reclaim everything: her family, her identity, and her life.

One step at a time.

Moving, uplifting, and full of hope, this beautifully crafted novel about love, family, and the power of finding your tribe is based on the author’s own experience with cancer and community.

Great Book!!

This is a endearing story of friendship and cancer survivors, and Josie Lloyd tells all the details very creatively. I really liked it!

Sad the Story had to End!

This book is way out of my normal genre, but I loved it! I wanted to be friends with the girls in the book and run with them! The story flow was easy to follow and characters were very relatable! Definitely recommend giving it a listen!

Wonderful book

I am in the process of going through my own breast cancer journey. This was much needed. I needed to hear everything I was feeling was normal and okay. Thank you.

What a celebration of life!

I’ve been grieving the sudden loss of Louise Penny’s reader. I’ve found a new favorite! Beautiful story, beautifully read.

Disappointing

As a breast cancer survivor I really wanted to like this book. But it’s so predictable it’s almost cartoonish. I give it two stars because of the topic
