Publisher's summary

The Brentwood Boys have come together in a three-book audio collection for the first time ever! More than 30 hours of delicious baseball players brought to you by your favorite narrators including Sebastian York, Savannah Peachwood, Stephen Dexter, Rock Engle, Felicity Monroe, and Maxine Mitchell.

The Locker Room

Have you heard the rumor around campus about the locker room?

Legend has it if you bring a girl into the sacred after-game domain of the baseball locker room, it will end with a walk down the aisle.

So when the girl I've fallen for brushes me off, I start to question if I need to switch my way of thinking. Maybe it's time I finally hand out a coveted invitation to the locker room.

The only question is, will she accept?

The Dugout

Let me ask you a question: If someone is vying for your spot on a team and just so happens to injure you during practice, would you believe it was on purpose?

Word around campus is...it was no accident.

That injury has cost me everything. Now, I’m a senior fresh off recovery, struggling to find my groove, until the day I run into The Baseball Whisperer, Milly Potter.

Little do we both know, she’s about to become more than just my fairy ballmother.

The Lineup

Want to know a secret?

That boy over there, the one with the spectacular backside, yeah, I first saw him in college, talking to his friends. Tall, broad, sculpted by his many hours in the weight room. His personality was larger than life and I was too shy to approach him.

Now he’s a professional baseball player, I’m a confident CEO, but my crush is still strong. Yup, massive crush.

I have a chance at winning a date with him.

Should I enter?

Dislike Emory

I have to review this after first book because I don’t want to forget to do it. I love love the story in that it kept me interested and I felt the love, etc. but the author made me angry by having Emory be so stupid in why she broke up with him and how freakin’ LONG it took to get them back together after they’re living in the same city. So stupid and it made me dislike Emory for her stupidity. It really made me angry at her and frustrated by the book.

Loved the book but

I loved the books but WHY not have age appropriate voices…Knox sounded like Casey Kasem and it was a struggle to make it through. The storyline made up for it tho…made me laugh nonstop

All of this for one credit? Yes please! These stories are fantastic!

I don’t usually gravitate toward sports romances, but after reading a few of Meghan Quinn’s teacher books where some of the Brentwood Boys make an appearance, I knew I had to read them. And man oh man, I love them now! All of these fantastic stories for one credit!? Don’t even hesitate! It’s worth it!

The Locker Room
This story had so much humor. Laugh out loud funny. I love the way Meghan Quinn writes her men, and their friendships. This felt like I was hanging out with my college buddies again. There are so many little things in this story that come full circle and stay as running jokes and themes. I loved this. This story is fantastic, but be prepared to work though the hard stuff. Let me tell you, this one gutted me. It was heartbreaking. I could feel their hurt. One thing I appreciated in this story was the hurt wasn’t glossed over or belittled. It was addressed and argued about. It wasn’t a quick discussion and quick resolution. This felt real. As hard as parts were, it was worth it and worth the wait. It made the ending so much better. Their kind of love, that lasting love, was powerful. My heart feels full!

This wasn’t a narrator combo I listen to often, but I really enjoyed it. I switched between reading and listening and often would go back to listen to the parts I read. Everything was more powerful, funnier, and more enjoyable in audio. Thank you to Rock Engle and Felicity Monroe for two great performances.

The Dugout
Carson is a hero that had a lot of great things come to him, but he also worked really hard to get those things and had to endure some rough times. He was such a good contemporary romance Hero. I loved Milly Potter. She was the best shy girl, breaking out of her shell to get what she wants. I loved her baseball confidence and how much Carson respected that. Carson falling for Milly was so sweet, gooey, perfect. I loved him. I loved them. This book really focused on the game, it’s development, it’s coaching, the processes, the connections. To have a relationship between a couple be built on that love of a sport was pretty cool stuff. Meghan really makes her couples work for the HEA. Wow, this one was rough, but really beautiful. The time, healing, forgiveness on multiple fronts, growth, and love were all needed to achieve the ending in the story. I feel a bit book hungover and a bit whole at the end of this one! I really loved this story.

As for the Audio, the Prolouge alone got me with Sebastian York. He just makes you feel different. As soon as I heard him as Carson I knew it was going to be so good. I love bitter crabby Sebyo so much. His snippy tone is perfection. He transitions to happy and hopeful so well too. Savannah Peachwood was the perfect Milly. I’m those story, I liked her internal monologue the best. She had such a great introspective sound to her voice. They were both such good choices for Milly and Carson.

The Lineup
Jason Orson is ridiculous. He’s almost too much, but in the best possible way. I feel like Meghan Quinn said, how far can I take this? He is so hilarious it’s laugh out loud funny. I loved the contrast between Jason and the heroine Dottie who was serious, driven, and buttoned up. I loved that personality traits she found offputting in herself were seen as good qualities in Jason’s eyes. Jason is so sensitive and lovable, in addition to being crazy as heck, that when things fall apart it is easy to be team Jason. However, in true Meghan Quinn fashion she makes you understand from both points of view. The tension during the angsty part, and struggles, was really good in their story. Both characters had to look at themselves and figure out what really mattered. This story was so so good!!

The audio. Man, Stephen Dexter was perfection. His ability to go soft when needed, but also amped up and crazy and fast was so perfect for Jason. He made him come to life. There is no way I could have brought in that much character simply reading the story. I love Maxine Mitchell. Her narration is just always so great. I always connect so strongly with the leading lady she os narrating. And can we talk about her male voice? Phew! This audio was so so good.

Love these guys!

I love these characters, especially Jason. I don't think I ever laughed as hard at a book as I did with The Lineup. Really any of his little cameos throughout cracked me by up. I listened out of order finding the book about Cory first but it didn't matter I was still fully invested even knowing what was coming. These characters are so realistic in their personalities, the author did a great job bringing them to life. I will be searching out the rest of these series and all of her other titles. But fingers crossed for a Jason-Dottie spinoff series of some sort. He is hilariously ridiculous!

A nice box set.

Overall I would say 4ish stars for the bundle...

Emory and Knox were great in The Locker Room, and I loved their story, I just didn't love the huge time jump at the end.

The Dugout was probably my least favorite honestly. I loved Millie, but Carson really turned into a bigger A$$ than I expected, and I pretty much only wanted her to get her HEA, and really didn't care what happened to him. Thankfully it was a shorter time jump.

The Lineup was... well I loved and hated it. Jason was one of the side characters in The Dugout and he just had that "class clown" type personality. But I actually loved him compared to Dottie! She was a grade-A witch! Her treatment of him throughout most of the story was absolutely infuriating. I wasn't really hoping for Jason to forgive her.

All in all I enjoyed the trio and look forward to continuing on with the rest of the series, I love seeing all the side characters getting their own books.
And of course, Meghan had me laughing a LOT during this entire ride.

My ownly narrator complaint was Rock Engle for Knox, I almost DNF'd over it, but glad I stuck with it.

The perfect time for baseball

The Locker Room - 4 stars

Emory and Knox had a couple of the most memorable meetings I have read. Lol. I loved their easy banter and how seamlessly their friends were woven into the story. Emory’s Ned to take it slow resulted in a slow burn romance that really gave the main characters the chance to build their relationship into one that had me envious. Knox was a fantastic character who had me simultaneously laughing my behind off and swooning over how he took care of Emory. Emory proved to be Knox’s perfect match in wit and I spent several chapters waiting for her to finally give him the relationship he deserves.

The Dugout - 4 stars

Two books into this series, I have decided I am officially in my baseball romance era. Milly’s insane amount of knowledge about baseball made her the perfect match for Carson. I loved that he found her knowledge and enthusiasm as enticing as her body. I truly enjoyed watching them slowly build their relationship and was devastated by the later events of the book, only feeling better when Cory Potter made his appearances. Definitely planning to keep pushing forward with this series, especially knowing Cory Potter’s book is coming.

The Lineup - 5 stars

After listening to The Dugout, I was a little sad the next book wasn’t Cory Potter’s, but Jason Orsen came in and turned my frown upside down. Lol. I loved his personality and the relationships he had with Carson, Knox, and Emory. I was constantly laughing when he was around and so was Dottie. He added a levity to her life and showed her that there was plenty of life to enjoy outside of your career. Jason was the perfect mix of fun, witty, sexy, and commanding (when necessary), drawing me to him from page one, and not surprisingly, most of the things that came up in the story regarding his charity, The Lineup, just gave me more reasons to love him. Whoever comes next in this series has some big shoes to fill.
