Some other audibles that I have listened to do not have such a great reader that is so engaging so that was very helpful.

lifesaver!
I will be rereading this multiple times... this book is amazing! I already finished healing and understanding twice, and finally felt secure enough to even touch on transformation once, and am truly letting go of an unhealthy relationship that was not in my best interest... this book has saved my sanity! I am still sad, and depressed, but I've finally got hope and all my rollercoaster of emotions under control. IF you are lost, angry and can't believe your relationship is over, and hippie to find the best you & life ever.... don't pass go and collect $200... buy this book now!!!

Not just for a "smart woman" -it's for "any woman"
And the reason why I say this is because we do stupid things sometimes when going through a breakup or a divorce, whether we are "smart" or not. I believe listening to this book (the performance by Susan Boyce is wonderful, by the way) - helped me avoid some of the "avoidable" heartache (some of it cannot be avoided, and even necessary, for healing). I read it two times and though I did not use some of the writing excercises Sussman recommends here, I did the mental work, and used some advice for taking better care of yourself, understanding the stages of healing, and going through the separation in the way that I wouldn't have to regret later.

Good Read worthy of being on your bookcase
It's long...I mean quite long, but it doesn't actually feel that way. It has a lot of good knowledge in here and is basically like therapy. It was hard to digest in audio format because there are so many tasks to do but most of us listen on the go. I thought the narrator wasn't a great choice because her voice was too robotic to me. It reminded me of those YouTube videos that give instructions in a computer voice. I also wish the audible chapters had titles so that I could go back to those relevant topics.

Just what I needed
I enjoyed this book, you realize it is not just you who had struggle in a relationship/relationships. The part of getting to know you and finding out why we go for the type of mate we attract really opens ones eyes.
I will give this book to anyone who is going through a breakup.
