Very interesting

This book is about bibliotherapy, the therapeutic use of books to support mental health and emotional well being. This book was fascinating! I was not familiar with this term or type of therapy before listening to this audiobook, but I’m glad I picked it up because it really has some valuable resources that have helped me on my mental health journey. With bibliotherapy you can use an actual therapist to guide you or you can go for it on your own. You can pick books that resonate with specific characteristics you are hoping to improve like anxiety, depression and self care. There is a whole chapter on different people’s stories that were interesting and easy to relate to. Often times on journeys of self discovery it’s easy to feel isolated, so when you hear plenty of others going through similar things it’s nice to know you aren’t going through things alone. A very thought provoking listen.
