The Death of Raymond Yellow Thunder won the 2009 Nebraska Nonfiction Book of the Year award, a bronze medal from ForeWord Magazine in the regional nonfiction category and nominations for book of the year by The Center of Great Plains Studies and The Writers’ League of Texas.
