Story
Agile PM is a methodology to implement to get maximum business efficiency eliminating waste and reducing production costs. This is the most basic definition of agile. Scrum, in particular, is one of the most used agile frameworks. Initially, Scrum was born for software development projects, but it can now be applied also in innovative and more complex projects. Applying it, the work is completed and delivered in short cycles (called sprints) to keep the focus on development and continuous improvement of a product or service.

Kanban in a nutshell
The Basics Of Kanban by Aditi Agarwal is a short, but comprehensive book that explains Kanban in a simple to understand way. The accompanying PDF guide shows examples of different Kanban boards and helps to visually explain the concepts in the book.
I listened to the audiobook and it gave me an excellent overview of what Kanban is and how it can be used. The book is just over 2 hours and was ideal for learning during my work commute.
What I really enjoyed about Aditi’s book is the way she places Kanban in context with other concepts such as Agile, Scrum and Lean. She also refers to additional resources on the topics for those who want to learn more.
I look forward to reading Aditi’s other books on Scrum, Agile and Product Management. This book is a real gem and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to understand the basics of Kanban.

Struggling to deliver meaningful work?
Whether you've heard of Kanban or not, whether you're working in a team or alone; this audiobook presents a treasure trove of insight into how individuals stay productive through proven processes and tools - digital and analogue. I have personally been in situations where no matter how much effort was placed into the task, scope expanded seemingly infinitely, often due to improper planning. After dedicating 2 hours of my time to The Basics of Kanban, I was genuinely amazed by the dense, yet practical, examples of Kanban in a nutshell. If you or someone you work with hasn't transitioned to an agile workflow yet, I recommend this guide as it assumes nothing and breaks it down the Kanban way. I personally enjoyed that each chapter is easily replicable in real-life projects, and loved how each component of this methodology was clearly explained. Additionally: This audiobook comes with a 30-page PDF Document to support the spoken text with visual examples, charts, and comparisons.

Provides great insights into Kanban
I am at a crossroads with one of the teams I work with. Due to the way we receive our work and the nature of the work vanilla scrum agile is not really working out. This situation caused me to look at other flavors of agile. This book gave me a clear view into why we were having challenges with scrum as we were using it and why Kanban or scrum ban may work better. Examples and comparisons of each methodology were very helpful. Book wording was clear and easy to follow. Narration and tone were easy on the ear. I was wondering if a "work" audio book could hold my interest like a fiction book does and I had no challenge staying interested in this one. I highly recommend to anyone investigating which flavor of agile they want to use.
