About this listen

He claimed an innocent prince—and surrendered his heart.

Cador only married a pampered prince from a faraway land to save his people. He never expected he’d grow to respect Jem. He never expected to find comfort with him. He never expected to want him with a fierce passion.

He never expected to fall in love.

Now Cador must secure his people’s future and win Jem’s heart. For without it, he has no future at all.

The Barbarian’s Vow by Keira Andrews is a gay romance fantasy featuring enemies to lovers, an age gap, forced proximity, first times, and of course a happy ending. This is the second and final action-adventure romance in the Barbarian Duet. Wed to the Barbarian must be listened to first.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I just love a good M/M romance and this series did not disappoint. Although I found Jem to be a little annoying at times, the chemistry between him and his “marauding woodsman” more than made up for it! Steamy, romantic, and a HEA that was perfect! Highly recommend!

I love it

I finally finished it and absolutely loved it. it seemed as if the bitter attitude by Jem was being dragged on yet that was more likely than not certain attitudes I've experienced recently and have found unnecessary and annoying but the ending of the book was beautiful. the growth of each character was wonderful and I'm gratefull to have listened. Thank you Keira 🌻

Moist!

Listen to it at my office desk and went completely feral. Sweet story. Intense smut. Awesome narrator.

It’s over, and I am UNWELL. My gods, I need more JUST LIKE THIS. This was everything I wanted in a MM Fantasy Romance and didn’t realize I could get. I already miss it…

Obsessed

I’ve read a couple of her books and I love them especially kidnapped by a pirate, The first book was like an eight out of 10 and this one I’m obsessed with probably a nine out of 10 I loved it so much PS kidnapped by a pirate is a 10 out of 10 so you should definitely check it out and buy both of these books if you have the chance I haven’t finished it yet I’ve got an hour left but I hope there’s a next one

I recommend this series

This series is a fun listen and it hooked me into the story very quickly. Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration is entertaining and complex and expertly performed, I look forward to listening again soon.

Fantastic conclusion

9/21/2023 – Updated for audio

This is book 2 in the Barbarian Duet by Keira Andrews. This is not a stand alone and is intended to be listened to after book 1, Wed to the Barbarian. As such, this review contains spoilers to book 1.

Whew! After the ending to book 1, I had serious doubts that Andrews could redeem Cador, but she did. The best part was that their reconciliation was hard work and took up a significant portion of the book while keeping the pacing engaging. Jem wasn’t a doormat and both had to come to terms with their assumptions and biases regarding the other and their respective countries.

Lots of twists and turns to keep my suspense loving heart happy. And while they were trying to figure things out – Cador and Jem didn’t stop with the sexy times. I enjoyed the balance between all the story elements.

I love epilogues and this one was sweet and detailed not just Jem and Cador but wrapped up plot points and gave HEAs for several of the other characters as well.

Narration:
Michael Ferraiuolo was awesome again. There are so many characters with a variety of voices, accents, mannerisms plus all the emotions. It was so easy to get lost in the story with his wonderful performance.

VERY worth the listen

This book was amazing, Im honestly sad its over but its one of the few that I actually feel fully satisfied after reading. Id love to read a short story about their life after this ofc but not only has the author succeeded in making me adore this couple, theyve succeeded in making me happy with the ending. this is quite possibly the first time I have ever been happy with the ending of a good book lol usuaply if I like a book I want it to go on forever but this felt like a fitting end.
