About this listen
A new country, a cute French Bulldog who won’t stop talking, and a murder she's determined to solve.
Perfect for fans of heartwarming, cozy mysteries. Contains no swearing, graphic violence, or bedroom scenes.
Lola Ramsay is a veteran trying to come to terms with hearing her dog talking. A new life in a sleepy British village seems like the perfect place to work it out.
Sassy, the Frenchie, is winning over everyone with her amber eyes, cute smile, and grumbly groaning noises that only a Frenchie lover would understand.
When a body at the local art class sees Lola's friend as the main suspect, then Sassy and Lola must uncover the mystery and find the real killer.
With more suspects than they can count and time running out, it will take all of Lola’s wit, Sassy’s nose, and a bit of local cooperation to solve the mystery. After all, there's a murderer on the loose, and their friend's life hangs in the balance.
If you like funny and sweet, family-friendly, small-town cozy mysteries with the cutest French Bulldog detective, then you will love The Art of Murder.
If the allure of a hilarious cozy mystery, set against the backdrop of a picturesque village and accompanied by the most delightful of canine detectives, tugs at your heartstrings, then The Art of Murder promises to be your next unforgettable story.
Join Lola and Sassy as they prove that sometimes, the smallest voices carry the truth the farthest. Grab this cozy mystery before the trail goes cold.

Quick listen
Good story pretty short though . I love Sassy the bulldog in this story . And I love that her human can hear her. It is basically two mysteries in a single story. Great narration.

Sassy, Silly, and Totally Entertaining
A light read with an enjoyable dog. Sassy Pants was so much fun! I’m looking forward to more of her crumb-snatching antics in future books. She was a protector—both cute and tough. The narrator was good, but I wasn’t completely sold on the “dog” voice. I feel like it could have been, I don’t know, sassier? All in all, it was a good listen.

Therapeutic!
I was skeptical at first - I'm not even a dog lover. But the story and narration way exceeded my expectations. The main character suffers from post combat PTSD, along with her emotional support dog who actually talks to her. The dog has a way of saying the exact right thing at the right time using very few words. The narrator amazed me with her perfect accents and personalities, and even a perfect dog voice. So funny and cute.

Fun and light!
It's been a while since I've listened to or read cozy mystery. This was a good reintroduction. The "talking" dog was amusing and one of the best parts of the story. I enjoyed listening to the narrator's engaging read and friendly, light tone that matched the story.
