Not up to Nora Roberts expectations

this was not at all what I expected from a Nora Roberts book. I could not finish the narrator not good and the storyline very odd to me.

Hasn’t aged well

It is hard to read the old Nora’s that aren’t good about consent.
Having the male lead “dominate and protect “ made me sick.

Not my cup of tea.

I didn't become interested in the characters. I found them to be too zany and in need of a comedy foil.

So disappointed

This is the first Nora Roberts book I can't get past the first hour. It is just awful. The narration (which I never complain about) is so bad, the writing is bad...I am just glad I only paid $5.00 for it. Makes the pain a little less painful...

The Art of Boring a Reader to Death

What would have made The Art of Deception better?

Characters that are believable.

What could Nora Roberts have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

She could have written about how real people behave.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Christina Traister?

I have no idea. I couldn't get past the awful characters.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

First of all, I am NOT a fan of reality programs, especially those that detail the lifestyles of the rich and spoiled. The last thing I want to do is to read or listen to a book that's the equivalent.

Any additional comments?

Nora where are you? Come back and write a good book again. People want to read about people who behave like real people, not spoiled, silly, dramatic stereotypical "creative" nutcases. Just boring.
