Great insight
It is a rare thing that, as a kid, you didn't experience some sort of trauma. I truly believe that trauma has an effect on adult relationships. I found this amazing audiobook that helps work through that no matter what the trauma is. I found it to be easy to follow and the suggestions were super easy to do. Repetition is the key, and they do a great job at that. Highly recommend.

Great 2 in 1 combo
I liked learning about how to regulate your emotions such as mindfulness and compassion. How many of us look out for moments of trouble? Ive learned about how to stay grounded in the present moment to reduce anxieties. We need to believe in our ability to express ourselves so we don't have suppressed concerns. When the author discusses building a support system that promotes enjoyment and relaxation sure meant a lot. I've had some, but realize we could all use more to get that self compassion. This book even covers meditation, so if anyone wants to listen to a nice soft voice with instructions you'll find it relaxing. Great narrator, good times.

Put our upbringing under the microscope
When we want to undercover the crux of our deepest and most hurt-hurt-infused behaviors (i’m speaking of attachment styles such as anxious, avoidant, dismissive and the like here), we must go into the subconscious mind and see not only what traumas might lie there, but what beliefs we have also picked up from society, schooling, church, friends and family. An in order to properly do this, we must put our upbringing under the microscope. Which I why I think it is fantastical appropriate and absolutely on point that Archer Miles has compiled these two titles together that not only seek to understand and combat dysfunctional attachment styles, but goes much deeper into our souls, psyches, and behaviors. Favorite part: the unique and originally crafted mindfulness and rewiring techniques to change behavior at the core level (meditations and affirmations are great here).

Behaviors aren’t set in stone-whew!
The section on how childhood trauma affects behavior helped me connect the dots between past experiences and current patterns in relationships, something that felt both deeply personal and universally relatable. But what I appreciated most was the message that these behaviors aren’t set in stone. By understanding the root causes and working through them, there’s real hope for change, healing, and growth.

Great combo!
How many of us keep an eye out for those tricky moments? I really enjoyed discovering ways to manage emotions, like mindfulness and compassion. I've picked up some tips on staying grounded in the present moment to help ease my anxieties. It's important for us to trust in our ability to share our thoughts so we don't end up holding back our worries. When the author talks about creating a support system that encourages enjoyment and relaxation, it resonates. I’ve had a bit of it, but I think we could all use a little more to embrace self-compassion. This book even talks about meditation, so if you're looking for a soothing voice with some helpful instructions, you'll find it relaxing.
