Story
When the world is brought to a standstill in the early days of a pandemic, Etta Wilmont finds herself suddenly stranded in Kansas City. Desperate to secure a roof over her head, Etta crosses paths with Henry Logan, a lonely older man in need of a caretaker. His invitation for Etta to stay with him seems to be the solution to both their problems—and maybe the spontaneous adventure Etta’s life has been missing. As they settle in together, Etta indulges in Henry’s library. The compelling historical accounts of life in the Midwest soon inspire vivid dreams of 1870s Kansas City.

Shadowvale isn’t typical small-town America. The sun never shines, the gates decide who enters, magic abounds, and every resident bears some kind of curse. No one knows this as well as raven shifter Deacon Evermore, who, like everyone in his family, has a curse. While his position as Shadowvale’s peacekeeper lets him use that curse for good, he’d rather live anywhere else. He stays for his family but doubts he can last much longer.

Publisher's summary
In 1919, when doors were locked and windows were shuttered against disease, an angel came to GraceTown. She moved from house to house, nursing the sick and breathing life into the community—and then she disappeared. The only evidence of her existence is a stone angel in her likeness in the town square....
Nurse Jenna Woodsen doesn’t know anything about the Angel of GraceTown, or the statue honoring her in the community’s town square.
She only knows that when she and her elderly aunt were forced to flee Philadelphia in the dead of night, Violet—the wayward traveler Jenna picked up—suggested they shelter in a deserted house in GraceTown.
Violet, a doppelganger for the angel in the square, insists they will be safe here. Everyone assumes Jenna is the fiancée of the absentee homeowner, and Violet convinces Jenna to play along.
Jenna is slowly rebuilding her interrupted life when her “fiancé” shows up. Will Daniel’s arrival cause Jenna and her aunt to run again? Or is his appearance part of a bigger plan that will allow Jenna to face her past and fully embrace the life she’s found in GraceTown?
Rich in plot, emotions, and characters, this is an audiobook you won't soon forget. So, sit back, prop up your feet, and take a break from reality today!

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Story
When Heather McKinley dreamed of becoming a doctor, she imagined curing sick kids and sporting pink stethoscopes. She never anticipated the sleepless nights, grueling exams, and endless labs. And she certainly never knew that her medical school earned the nickname Dead Med thanks to the tragic history of students overdosing on illegal drugs. But Heather would never consider doing anything like that. That is, until her longtime boyfriend dumps her, she finds herself failing anatomy, and her world starts to crumble.

Story
Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Story
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

The Angel in the Square
A heartwarming story about love, family, acceptance, betrayal, fear and acceptance. Throw in a touch of the difficult to believe and the strength that comes with faith and the you gave this amazing story. Personally, I loved it and think you will too if you enjoy mystery and believe in the strength of the human spirit!
