Publisher's summary
How does Acts complement Luke’s Gospel? Can you read one without the other? Does the order in which they were written have any bearing on their meaning for 21st-century readers like you?
With one of America’s leading Bible teachers, Felix Just, S.J. (PhD, Yale University), you will delve into compelling new research about Luke’s two-volume project. As you consider some of the finer points - like the probable date of authorship and the significance of the structural outline each follows - you’ll uncover untold depths of meaning in this fascinating pair of books from the New Testament.
This lecture is part of a larger audio series, Fr. Felix Just’s acclaimed Introduction to the New Testament.

Crushingly Brief, More Like a Summary
AT A GLANCE:
An extremely brief look at the Biblical book of Acts.
CONTENT:
I'm not sure what I expected as this is less than 30 minutes long. I have heard lecturers spend many hours covering the same book while only scratching the surface of its meaning. The scholarship is solid but there is no time allotted to qualify or support any of the claims.
NOTE that this is only one lecture from the larger lecture series "Introduction to the New Testament". I find it disconcerting that they would break up these lectures and sell them individually for far more than they are worth. This kind of information could be found in a book introduction from an academic study Bible, or even in an article online.
NARRATOR:
Fr. Felix Just, S.J. is a Jesuit priest and frequent public speaker. His voice is pleasant and he is adept at narration. For this reason I will likely seek out his longer-form presentations in the future.
OVERALL:
I would show this only to absolute beginners to critical religious study. Unless you are looking to complete your set of "Introduction to the New Testament" lectures I would not reccomend.
