Publisher's summary

Terra Nova, Book 1

Terra Nova. The promised world is humanity’s new home, safe from the threats of a dangerous galaxy, where veterans of a long war could live in peace. The promise was a lie.

Chief Katherine “Kit” Carson, of the elite Pathfinder Corps, joins the mission as a last-minute replacement, hoping to put a spotty past behind her and build a new life on a brave new world. The expedition arrives on Terra Nova, expecting to join the first wave of colonists, instead they find abandoned cities and are soon faced with a new, terrifying enemy humanity has never encountered before.

For the colony to survive, Carson must unravel the mystery of her new home and learn the fate of the first mission to settle the planet....

Bloodlines, Book 2

Terra Nova broke free of the Ultari tyrants, but the colony’s struggle to survive has just begun.

Governor Ken Hale and his expedition brought technology to the Canis Major galaxy that will change the balance of power forever, and the Ultari will stop at nothing to take it for themselves. The colony needs allies, and with no other options, Hale sends Chief Kit Carson on a first contact mission that will either shield their vulnerable world or invite its swift destruction.

Good audio book

I'm always 50\50 on getting audio books. Seems you either get a good story or a good narrator. But rarely both. In my opinion this has a good combination of the two. Great for driving or relaxing at home.

I have been on a space binge with books. I would date this book right up with my other favorites. Can't wait to get books 3-5.

Terra Nova

I liked the books and was happy enough with the performance.

I did feel a bit let down story wise that Hale had such a little feeling role.

Other characters picked this up fine but I still felt less involved as the characters, weren’t quite at the level I was used to during the Ember war.

Still a good couple of books and worth the listen.

Surprisingly good!

Great performance, captivating story, lovable characters. Perfect balance of fast paced action and development. I’ll be looking for more on the series.

Outstanding Tales: the best in modern sci-fi

If you haven’t read or listened to Richard Fox yet you are really missing out. Stories about loss, danger, adventure, mysteries, and war all related with exciting detail and plenty of accuracy. The writing takes me into a future not to far from now, but with interesting and unique encounters with species new and old. The breadth and depth of Fox’s works since the beginning of Ember War rivals that of Brandon Sanderson. They seem to engage their universe with equal zeal.

Another great story in the Ember Wars Universe

Another great story in the Ember Wars Universe with familiar characters taking a supporting roll and the focus shifting to a new cast with familiar rolls. Good suspense and great description of the battles in both space and on the ground in the hand to hand nature.

Amazing!

I hope this turns into another series like Ember Wars- loving the story so far. Also, Luke Daniels really brings it to life- especially with the effects (accents, crying, whining, begging, interference, etc) it’s fantastic.
