About this listen

So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite's visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal.

Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn't go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul? Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night Series, Tempted.

overall okay

The book was good it was hard to stay focused in the beginning because it starts off so slow but after a little bit into the book more like an hour and a half it started to catch my attention everything was great till the end i love series stories but i hate when they leave you hanging after the book i would prefer to somewhat wrap it up rather to leave it like they ran out of paper i regret using my credit on this audible...

Stick to the book

If you like hearing a teenager read to you with all the attitude, language, and tone then this audiobook is for you. I like the story but I would prefer to read it so I can tone down the teenager tone. Overall pretty good story, easy read/listen.

great read

wish they would keep the same narrator for every book. I do love what I hear but would love to hear the same voice for Zoey.

meh narrator

narrator struggles with voices and accents but was otherwise passable. I guess I was spoiled by the amazing previous narrator

Terrible narrator

I love this series and this is a good book, but it was absolutely painful trying to listen through this one. I hope the narrator either gets some lessons or chooses not to read any other books. It's just too much. The inflection is all wrong and every sentence sounds like a question. It's terribly unpleasant.

Just beautiful

It’s so hard to put into words how this series makes me feel. I’m now 23 and have been reading these books since chosen came out. I have read the new series other world as well. I am just struck at how well the world has come together over these years. I cry, laugh, yell, and throw many books across the room. Now I listen while I work and throw Bluetooth headphones across the room. I know this isn’t much of a review as it is my reaction to these books, but it’s all I can say to express how much I enjoyed and continue to enjoy this series. Thank you PC and Kristin Cast.

Wonderful once again.

I love this series. I was a little frustrated in the begining as the narrator messed up a few words saying damien instead of darius. The end shocked the hell outta me. I was on my way to work and started sobbing on the bus. Cant wait to continue this series.

Terrible narrator

Did she even bother to listen to any of the other books? Its annoying enough to have narrators change but this one was pronouncing names incorrectly! Very detracting from the overall performance of the book. I'm greatful to see we are back to the original narrator in the next book.

Narrator is terrible.

This is going to sound like every other review on this audiobook, and that's because we are all in agreement that this narrator is absolutely terrible. The switching of narrators is getting a bit annoying because I was liking the voices for the characters from the narrator of books 4 and 5 (Jenna Lamia). I only started listening to the audio books along with reading at Untamed so I didn't get to experience the other narrators before Jenna Lamia, but I listened to samples of the other audio books I didn't buy (and a couple of the next books narrators), and I think I can say with a fair amount of certainty that the narrators just went down hill when they started changing. I would also like to point out how Cassandra Morris is saying 'Erebus' like 'Aribus', which I don't believe is right, correct me if I'm wrong on that though, but its not how Jenna Lamia was saying it, and her pronunciation sounds more correct. And 'Ghigua women', I don't believe she is saying that correctly either. I enjoy listening to a book as I also read it, and I really love the House of Night series (hence my re-reading it), but I do not think I can continue listening to this audiobook due to the terrible narration.

It was a GREAT listen

I really liked the way the name of the chapters coincided with the name of lead character. So that each chapter gave a whole new take on character development. You were able to get more of an idea of how the character interacted with each the other characters. You got to know more than just Zoe intimately. The writer gives you insight to the relationship between Zoe and the other characters.
