Fantastic opportunity to get into Rand Paul's head
As Rand is not a typical candidate by any means, I wanted to better understand his background, driving forces, and aspirations. This book was excellent. I wish that Rand would have narrated more than the first chapter but understand that he has a few other things on his plate right now.

A great message and a way forward!

Wow, Rand Paul leaves no stone unturned, fearless
What's the biggest problem with candidates or politicians today, ok that's a loaded question but I can pick one thing, fear. They fear truth and fear crossing the line with their party. Not Rand Paul. He will not disappoint in this book. He is open and lays out his ideas and philosophy.
Rand stands up to the establishment and tells you the new party he sees and projects to be coming alive today in the U.S.
Highly recommend for voter ages and anyone not looking for status quo

I challenge EVERYONE (whether you're; a Liberal or a Conservative, for or against, him as a Presidential candidate) to listen-to/read "Taking A Stand: Moving Beyond Partisan Politics to Unite America" by Dr. Rand Paul M.D., because it will blow your mind how much sense it all makes. And this will ring true for anyone with common sense, good will toward humanity, basic Americana ideals and/or any hope for our future.
***NOTE*** Try to, if at all possible; to objectively review/analyze the points made, while limiting your preconceived notions about Rand Paul, or his father Ron. Likely based on fear-mongering propaganda you've "heard" from; D.C. If Rand doesn't cast the American Net wide enough, no one can.
America can Win. Rand is very knowledgeable, classical and current. He understands the depth of domestic and foreign issues like no one else that has articulated to date.
I thought we needed an executive experience, like the hardened Scott Walker. I enjoyed Scott's recent book and was more convinced of his capability. However, Rand... wow! I've always watched and agreed on his stands, but he shows a depth of insight that I'm convinced he can beat not only the democrats but win this republican primary.
Continue to take your stand Rand, you stand for all of us and impel us to stand as well.

Listen to Senator Paul for yourself!
Where does Taking a Stand rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is the clearest vision for America put forth by any politician I my lifetime.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The most compelling aspect of this book is the consistent common sense approach toward running our country according to the Constitution. Equally compelling is the fact that following the Constitution will benefit both the poor and the rich, the majority and the minority, the citizen and those who want to be citizens.
What about Brian Troxell’s performance did you like?
Brian Troxell did an outstanding job. He read with passionate and conviction. I almost forgot that I wasn't listening to Senator Paul.

Power resides with the people
The rise of the Libertarian in politics is notable because the underpinning is the idea that when people take responsibility for their own lives most will rise to the challenge and succeed. One of the benefits is it leaves more resources in the hands of those most capable of recognizing and responding to the needs in their family. Family is the sure foundation for every successful society. Leadership is required. Dr. Rand Paul is such a leader.
