What a fun book! Sort of a road trip/buddy movie combined with a rom-com. I really, really enjoyed it! Just a few minor quibbles with Halla’s response to finding the truth about Sarkis, and then her efforts to retrieve him at the end. Those were a bit of a stretch. But in all other respects it was a fantastic book. Definitely recommend it!

While it did take me longer to read than average, I absolutely loved the characters, the representation, and basically everything about it.

A 30 year old protagonist who is as adorably awkward as I am? Yes please

Back in the world of the White Rat and it is such a fun romp. I am certain I am reading through all of these books backwards, but after the Paladin books in the same world I wanted more! sweet little romance, snappy, and fast paced.

This book has joined the ranks of my comfort reads (listens). If you’re looking for a rich magical world and main characters that skew more toward middle-age (and all that comes with that), this author will feed you for a long time to come. Bonus: Narrator is fabulous with ALL of the character voices. Kudos!

I loved this book! It was a very wholesome and cute romance story with a great plot and just enough action! I loved how much back story we got with the main characters! Such a great read!!

I loved this book! The fantasy world building, the banter, the romance. It’s so good. It gets you into a complex world quick, with no heavy handed maps or explanations. Also love a compelling romance where no one is like freshly 18.
