About this listen

Missy Moresco might be Celebration Police Department’s police dispatcher, but she’s also got her thumb on the pulse of the township. When FBI Agent Casper Princeton shows up in town on a case, Missy and Casper go undercover to protect the real reason he’s there by pretending they are a couple.

With Missy’s snarky comments and Casper’s quick comebacks, these two find it hard to keep a professional distance. When Casper needs to rush home to a family emergency, Missy is torn on whether it’s a good thing or a bad one. Just when she decides it doesn’t matter, Casper shows up on her doorstep with his five-year-old daughter.

Can Missy and Casper keep the fake relationship going while they wait for his case to come to a head, or will his daughter and his job come between them before Easter arrives?

Wonderful Story & Listen🎧Charming & Heartfelt!

Stacy Eaton pens another fabulous small town romance novel set her “Celebration Township” Series, each book features different lead characters and stands on its own, but characters from other books appear in each other’s books and knowing their backstory adds depth, plus seeing them again is like seeing an old friend. This book is Missy Moresco and Casper Princeton’s story, Missy is the dispatcher for Celebration PD and Casper is a federal agent who is looking for one of Celebrations residents because he is in danger. Missy is used to working with and dealing with men, since growing up with her brothers was good practice. She is not afraid to speak her mind and usually takes the no nonsense approach when dealing with things, including federal agents who think they can come into town and take over things. But Casper was not like that and when he discloses why he is in town, it is Missy who winds up helping him with the reason he was in tow and poses as his girlfriend in order to not tip anyone off, especially the perpetrators. I adored both characters, thought they were great together and for each other. I also adored his daughter, Suzette, her mother had custody of her but she was not a good mother or person, and then did the unthinkable. Casper brings her back to Celebration and when Missy put out a message of things she needed, the town folk came through for them. There is never a dull moment in this wonderfully plotted story, it has the perfect balance of drama, small town charm, heartfelt emotions, some mystery and thrilling and suspenseful moments and a fabulous romance. Stacy Eaton, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧And for the wonderful narration, Yvonne Cude is an entertaining storyteller and a versatile voice artist. She covers the roles for all the characters, gives each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who and is great performing both the male and female characters. She has a complete understanding of the characters she is portraying and is believable in every role she plays. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as she captures all the character’s emotions and projects them into her performance. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Melissa & Casper

Melissa knows who she is and what she wants. There are just not any men in Celebration that can fit the bill. Having everyone around her meet their match makes it especially difficult to stay happy. She and Casper are both confused to the limits of their "relationship" and every day makes the distinction between real and fake blur.

Another Great Romance

Stacy Eaton is hitting her grove with this series. Books 4 and 5 have been knock out stories with great romance without a lot of the tropes of a typical romance novel. I love the intertwining of characters from previous stories and the police/FBI drama in this one. It is nice that this one was left open instead of ending with a happy ending relationship. I expect that will happen before the end of the series but it made this story unique. I have really enjoyed the series and hope book 6 will be out soon.

Good story!

This addition to the Celebration Series is a combination of romance and mystery, with a heavy dose of small town charm. Missy is the police dispatcher in Celebration and because it's a small town, she has her pulse on the people and town. When Casper, a federal agent, comes to town and has to remain undercover, he and Missy are recruited to pretend to be in a relationship but present themselves to the public as a real couple. These two banter, but argue, have fun but dance around each other, all the time becoming more than fake. He's undercover because he's come to protect Ian Dugan from the contract that was put out on his life. He and his family were in witness protection when he was in his teens, but the contract was canceled when his father died...or so they thought. The protection is for Ian, but now that he has reconnected with the woman of his dreams and their daughter, there's a problem because she can only be protected if they're married. The ending results in gunfire but nobody knows for quite some time who lived and who died. It's a compelling story with complex characters and it was nice to have so many of them make an appearance in this story.
Yvonne Cude does an excellent job with the narration. Her versatile voice is perfect for all of the parts and she gives each character an individual sound and personality.

Time for a visit to Celebration!

Sweet as Sugar
The Celebration Series, Book 5
By: Stacy Eaton
Narrated by: Yvonne Cude

Stacy Eaton knows how to give me hours of escape into a wonderful small town! This is Missy and Casper's story and it's got a little more meat to it than the previous books. Missy is the dispatcher for the police department and isn't keen on having the FBI in town. Not interested in the least she snubs Casper, until she meets him. Once she finds out the reason he is in town, she does her best to help him. But there is more than a working relationship building between the two, and when Casper needs her most, she is there. Casper isn't interested in the small town. He loves living in the city and when his time is done in Celebration, he will be back off to Philadelphia. But as the town gets under his skin, he finds there is more to life than work. Plus his priorities are shifting! This is a fun one, with a small town feel and a bit of suspense. I loved my visit to this great series!

Yvonne Cude brings it all alive with a wonderful narration. She knows this series and all it's nosy neighbors! Keeping all the characters voices the same from book to book, she creates new ones for this story and includes an amazing child! It's a great listen!

Sweet small town story with a little drama

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
This was a fun small town drama and I can't wait to listen to the others in the series. The narration was great for the characters and so easy to listen to and lose yourself.

Casper not friendly ghost

Casper, FBI agent, comes to Clearcreek township to protect a resident from a threat. Missy the sassy sexy young fiesta police dispatcher town sweetie. These two clash and then find common ground. When it come to the people of clearcreek township they pull together when necessary.

Yvonne does the job. Her voice is light airy and I felt solicited Missy very well. I could visualize her clearly. Male voice were just okay.
