Publisher's summary

Despite having their secret revealed, the residents of Melbrook Hall return to Lander University for another year in the Hero Certification Program. Good thing the focus of this year is teamwork, because with their origins known, they'll have to lean on each other more than ever.

Now finally sophomores, their curriculum expands, allowing them to train in the majors that Heroes specialize in. The new classes will test their minds, bodies, and determination in ways never anticipated. In a year filled with the unveiling of secrets, unexpected entanglements, and, of course, super-powered battles, who will be left standing is anyone's guess. Because if all that weren't enough, more light is being shed on last year's kidnapping attempt, and the results point at something far bigger than mere rogue educators.

Something that isn't even close to being over with.

World defined

Drew has managed to work harder on world building to flesh out allow you to enjoy the story. The first book was a slower to get through this one is a audio page turner

good book, quite entertaining

I only have one problem with this book series and I guess it's not the series as much as it's just this book so far anyways. I've really enjoyed the book I think they're quite entertaining Goodreads, the only problem with this one is it at times it was a little predictable. I guess I don't really have much to say other than still very entertaining book. I'm excited for the next one and I already have them so I'm going to listen to those next!

A terrific follow up!

We find our heroes from Millbrook entering their sophomore year, and with that comes a whole new slew of problems, surprises, heartbreak, and revelations! This is a terrific second story in the series, and the surprises towards the end of the book will have you eagerly trying to find the next story in the series!

Hayes/McCarley keep the intrigue and action coming

I love the Super Powered books by Drew Hayes -- I followed him through the last two as he dished them out in bite-sized chunks two or three days a week, after I discovered the first on Audible. I rated the first book very highly, and am doing the same for this one.

In Year 2, the residents of Melbrook Dorm return to Lander University amidst scandal: they are Powereds given control of their abilities, and plenty of their classmates want them gone. They are forced to team up with anybody willing to work alongside them, and deal with more challenges with new professors and classes.

I give 4 stars instead of 5 because Hayes sometimes chooses wording that seems awkward to me. Still, I love his books and keep reading and listening.
