Just Buy the Book

The audiobook doesn't do too much good without a PDF for charts. A LOT of chart reading. Very disappointing but I was on a road trip and didn't read the contents, my bad.

A Fountain of Youth in Audiobook Form

After witnessing a steady decline in my mom’s energy and mobility, I knew something needed to change. A friend recommended “Strength Training for Seniors,” and, oh boy, what a difference it has made! The simple, well-explained exercises offer a gentle yet impactful introduction to strength training for her. The book doesn’t just stop at exercises; the bits about cultivating lasting healthy habits were the cherries on top. Now, Mom is looking forward to her workout sessions. It's so much more than a fitness guide; it's a ticket to a healthier, more fulfilling life for my aging parent. This isn’t just an audiobook, it’s an investment in longevity.

EASY-TO-FOLLOW PATH TO DYNAMIC WELL-BEING!

Author Amy Neal has created a wonderful, easy-to-follow book that not only promises enhanced health, strength, and well-being but actually delivers!
Now in my 70’s, I am intimately aware of the correlation between exercise and well-being. What impressed me so much about “Strength Training for Seniors” was how practical the various exercise elements were, addressing seniors regardless of their fitness level. In other words, it’s easy and gentle to find exactly what’s right for your strength training in this important book. We seniors all worry about falling, not only to avoid the very typical fractured pelvis resulting from such falls but simply to get back up again! Ms. Neal’s 12 basic at-home workouts address all the basic muscle groups, and the stretches (which feel GOOD by the way) definitely increase mobility, and make getting up from the floor easier and easier.. The more indefinable quality of self-confidence that comes from increasing strength, better balance, and a general improvement in well-being is a happy glow that most will willingly welcome into their lives.
I found plenty of motivation in this book, which, by the way, is very engagingly narrated by Sera Chance, and I also resonated with the real-life success stories shared throughout.
Even more importantly, Ms. Neal’s insights provide a SAFE path towards better health while remaining eminently adaptable to whatever the reader’s situation may be. Whether you’re already in your senior years or have parents who can (and will) benefit in their golden years, getting yourself a copy or gifting it to someone you care about is highly recommended!

Its focus on practicality and gradual progression ensures that seniors of all fitness levels can benefit from its guidance. This book is not just about exercise; it's about reclaiming strength, vitality, and confidence in the golden years. Beyond the exercises themselves, the book delves into the importance of cultivating healthy habits for long-term well-being. It recognizes that fitness isn't just about physical strength; it profoundly impacts emotional well-being. Studies cited in the book highlight the mood-enhancing and heart-strengthening benefits of regular strength training for seniors. I highly recommend for anyone looking to obtain more flexibility and stableness in their lives.

A great gift!

I gifted this audiobook to my grandparents in hopes of inspiring them to embrace an active lifestyle. After the hurdle of teaching them how audiobooks work, they were initially hesitant, but the book's straightforward approach quickly built their confidence. What surprised me the most was how these exercises positively affected their emotional well-being. I'm not sure if they would admit it, but I noticed improved mood and energy for sure! Highly recommended!
