A must read for College Students

This book has helped me so much as an accounting major. From how to read faster to condensed notes, it has all been easy and helpful to implement. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

I'm not a teenager, and I thought it was great!

Because this version was targeted toward keeping teenagers interested, the narrator used great, engaging tonal narration and kept it interesting. I wish more audiobooks were this engaging.

The humor was clearly targeted towards teenagers.

The topics included several gems!

Highly Recommend

As a current medical student, I found this audiobook just when I needed it! This is an easy listen that's quippy, encouraging and full of great quotes. Furthermore, Dr. Rogers has validated many of my own fears and frustrations of being a "hyperactive" student while having provided motivation, insight and optimism for turning my academic performance around. I think any motivated student would be foolish not to heed the advice and study strategies outlined. I only wish that this was available in the unabridged and/or adult version (and that I was somehow getting paid for my review.) But in all seriousness, I look forward to using this as a pseudo coach as I prepare for the USMLE Step 1 exam later this year.

Several effective methods!

Best book I have ever read/listened to about studying methods. I was skeptical in the beginning because of the unnecessary funny comments (though I admit I found myself laughing at some comments towards the second half of the book), but I am glad I finished the book. Now I feel ready and confident about creating a study plan for myself!

This changed my perceived potential

Would you listen to Straight A at Stanford and on to Harvard: Teenager Version again? Why?

I gained so much technique from the first read that I will be reading this again.

What did you like best about this story?

Colorful and engaging this has catapulted my effort to a more productive level.

Which character – as performed by Jared Wekenman – was your favorite?

The author has seen the downside of being a struggling student and demonstrates that a struggle is what inspired him to take up the challenge of overcoming his own limits.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed a lot as I could see my own shortcomings and the hope of overcoming them.

Outstanding!!!

Very well done and so relevant for any student. We listened on a recent family trip over several days. Our 10th, 9th and even 4th grader learned some great study ideas. At one point during the program, our 10th grader started laughing from the back seat. That being said, the material is presented in some very hilarious ways. Thank you Dr Rogers.

His methods really do work.

First couple of weeks into my doctorate I was getting high C's/low B's on exams. Within two weeks of listening to this audiobook and incorporating some of his study habits, my very next two exams were A's. The first two in that specific class were a D & B prior to using his methods. It really is a way to succeed in academics and in learning. Period. Highly recommend.

Great information, terrible narrator.

I loved the principles and lessons taught in this book, however the narrator made it sound like I was listening to a book on how to effectively murder someone. He sounded creepy and like a stereotypical pedophile.
