Publisher's summary

Who would have thought that I, Scarlet Jones, the first ever Storm witch of the world, would one day work for the ECU?

I sure as hell didn't, but here we are.

When Jane Dunham came to the monastery to look for her sister Elisa, she had a parting gift for us: a horde of demons who came into our home and killed without mercy. It put an end to our illusion of safety pretty quickly.

On that same night, my father came to see me. I was ready to start running on all fours from him, but then he offered me a deal: If I agreed to work with the ECU and help them hunt and kill demons, they were going to give me what I wanted the most: They would set my people free. A no-brainer. I said yes.

Before I knew it, I had an office, a team of five, a Captain I'd officially named "Asshole", and unlimited resources to hunt down demons, while the rest of the Storm witches were finally free to live as they deserved.

The dream life, right? Could have been, but mistakes of the past always find a way to come back and bite you in the ass. Mine are about to cost me much more than I could have ever imagined. And this is just the beginning of my troubles....

Contains mature themes.

It’s like the author hated the FMC

So I kind of like books 1 and 2, but then the annoying started in book 3 and continued to book 4. So the FMC just baffled the /@&$ outta me! She comes across so selfish while trying to save her kind. The way the she obsessively searched for the spell maker and didn’t care about the risks and how she basically used a little boy so greedily. She is the reason why they were hiding him..from people like her. But because she was the main character they make it seem like the boy is all attached to her...but she did nothing for him. Which brings me to the most annoying thing about this book.

Every decision that she makes is horrible and then turns out to be just as horrible as everyone told her it would be. She is so incredibly ignorant. She’s impulsive and nothing...I mean NOTHING turns out the way she thinks it will. She puts people in more danger than anyone. She constantly needs someone to save her but she is the leader figure??? She makes it seem like everyone is there to serve or do something for “her kind” everything she does, goes wrong and it’s like the author hates her or something. She doesn’t listen to ANYONE and puts everyone in danger! IT.IS.NOT.ENTERTAINING!!!

I forwarded soooo much in this book. I won’t be reading the next one...if there is one 🤨! I mean girl go to sleep, your a grown woman people should NOT have to put you to bed...constantly! She acts like a child who thinks she’s some bad @$$! Everything that goes wrong in this book is because of her decisions...I am serious and not exaggerating!

The narrator is not horrible but her voice became grating after awhile, but it’s not her fault...I’m just annoyed with this girl. This is just bad. You want something good to happen so bad, and when it doesn’t it becomes more and more annoying!

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
