Story
BANGKOK, MARCH 2018. The world looked on in horror as millions of innocent lives were snuffed out in a matter of hours. Countless men, women and children slaughtered without mercy, torn apart by a violent mob that attacked without reason, motive or warning. Tom Freeman witnessed the aftermath. He reported on the tragedy and looked into the eyes of the sole survivor, an old friend, and what he saw looking back sent him running home to the United States. Back to safety. Back to a place where the world made sense, and the putrid stink of the dead didn't haunt his nightmares.

Story
In the wake of the cataclysmic events that reshaped our world in 2020, a sense of relief washed over us all. By late 2023, I think we were ready to just live life again. I know I was. It was a time to make new friends and put the past to rest. Rayne and I hadn’t known each other long, but we were building a solid friendship, nothing more. It was our common interests that sent us on vacation together to my remote cabin. What we didn’t, couldn’t know, was that we were on a collision course with the end of the world as we knew it.

Publisher's summary
When the outbreak comes to a head, Laney is away from home. Chasing her dream of being the winner of a baking reality show, she is sequestered like a juror. No phone, no internet, no knowledge of what is happening.
When the show evacuates all of the contestants, somehow Laney is left behind. Shut off from communication when the city loses power, Laney is clueless about what is happening and lacks the knowledge of the virus she is facing. Those infected experience a violent fever rage before the virus ultimately consumes them and takes their lives.
She's far from brave and searches for someone to help her. Carrying a backpack with some supplies and very little survival know-how, Laney has a choice. She can wait it out until all infected die, or try to make it home to her family. However, meeting the young girl Nika, changes how Laney must view and navigate her journey. Her weaknesses need to become strength.
The journey becomes more than just getting home.

Like many, Mackenzie Garret complains about the weather. It is the hottest summer anyone can remember. The high temperatures are out of control with no end in sight. Until it all changes. Overnight, blue skies become gray, and the hot, humid weather turns to rain, then snow, then ice as the temperature plummets. The entire northern half of the country is thrown into chaos as blow by blow, storm after storm, nature rips into the world, tearing it apart.

Marcus intends to extract DNA from the blood trapped in the Shroud of Turin. The experiment is a success and the masses embrace the clone as the embodiment of Christ, failing to recognize that science can replicate the body, but cannot touch the soul. Good Story, PERFECT Performance
Ended too quickly, fell a little flat for me. Lots of detail which I love but nothing really happened but that doesn’t take away from Druga’s wonderful story, good character development. Def listening to #2 if there is one
