Publisher's summary

Of all the people who could have seen me when I was at my most vulnerable, it had to be him.

Caleb. My stepbrother and the golden child of our messed up blended family. We barely know each other, but for some reason, he takes care of me when an incident at the club leaves me helpless and alone.

He hates me as much as I hate him, but something about his bossy attitude and unflappable calm soothes me. I don't want to want him, but no one has ever made me feel the way he does.

Hooking up with my enemy is stupid as f--k. So is breaking my one-and-done rule for him. I know this, but whatever is between us will eventually burn out, and I can go back to my solitary life and forget all about how amazing it feels to let someone else take control.

Gray and Caleb's story is an enemies-with-benefits-to-lovers romance between stepbrothers who discover that, sometimes, the person you hate is the only one who can give you what you need. Expect lots of steamy encounters, tons of dirty talk, and reluctant feels as these two enemies learn the truth about themselves and each other. It is the first book in the exciting new Crimson Club series but can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Stepbrothers but also not really stepbrothers

I couldn’t get over the voice actor for Caeleb. His voice was too deep and made him seem like an older man. The story itself kind of rushed into the transition from hatred to lust. I was wanting the drama of confronting Russ but was denied that. This story was just okay in comparison to Eli and West’s story.

Hate gray’s narrator

The narrator for Gray talks way too fast and it’s hard to differentiate when he is switching between characters. The other narrator is fine.

Listen and Love

Caleb and Gray are the absolute perfect depiction of adversaries to love interests. Years of incorrect perceptions of each other caused them to have incorrect opinions of each other. We get to watch their relationship develop organically as they get to know each other for who they are not who they wrongfully believed they were.

This is a book you will love as you experience them fall in love. The narrators really brought this story to life.

So Much Heart and Chemistry!

Had to pop in and review this heartwarming yet tasty listen! Aiden Snow was one sexy Caleb! Alexander Cendese was Gray to perfection and also had me smiling every time Gray's fellow strippers were involved. So much comradery and humor with the twins, Nick and all the rest of the crew at the club. I was so pleased about the real and true pace at which Gray and Caleb learned about each other. There was some real animosity between them because of their messed-up parents. The draw to one another and the undeniable attraction was the perfect catalyst for them to open up to each other and share the truth as they lived it.

Low Angst, High Heat

Another great one from Willow Dixon! It was nice getting to know these guys and loving and rooting for them! I don't always connect with the characters and can find myself just getting through the story but I really connected with these guys. I'm glad Gray is on the front cover...or who is supposed to be Gray. I could so see him in my thoughts throughout the story.
Aiden and Alexander both did amazing, as usual, with their performances and I really enjoyed hearing them bring Gray and Caleb to life.
The story was pretty low Angst and the spice was def nice! No overbearing inner dialogue to interfere with those scenes.
Overall I thought this book was an easy listen and fun!
