About this listen

Broody billionaire Walker Drummond is way out of my league, but that’s easily forgotten when I literally fall at his feet—on my behind, my dress hiked to my hips—staring up at his irritatingly handsome face.

I’m a reluctant thief, and he should be off-limits, but underneath his hard exterior lies an adoring father and caring man. And the real jaw-dropper? He’s interested in me.

None of this should matter since, he has no use for relationships. And despite the magnetism of his unwavering confidence and arresting blue eyes, I don’t do flings.

We’re at a stalemate. Which is for the best. Until surprisingly, he abandons his hard line on casual for me. Blame it on lust, or maybe it’s something more when I cast caution aside to be with him.

Still, I don’t belong in his world. Nor do I know how to play the game.

The thing with games? Only one person wins.

While Walker keeps his heart safely guarded, convinced I’ll steal it, I’m the one who stands to lose it all.

I loved this!

Stealing the Billionaire is book #4 in the 6ix Loves series, Walker and Eden's story. Eden gets fired from her job and is literally chased down the street when she tries to collect her things, including the business proposal she developed on her own time. When she jumps into a limo to escape security, Walker Drummond is the passenger. Walker is a single dad, billionaire, I-only-do-casual CEO. He is intrigued by Eden and things progress from there. This story is all about trust, trusting those who want to help and opening yourself up despite the consequences. This was not just a love story because the intrigue was riveting. This can be read as a standalone, but you won't want to miss the other books!

As for the narration, Aaron Shedlock and Jo Raylan were fantastic. Aaron Shedlock voiced the perfect IDGAF billionaire, but brought the personality to his son and his feelings for Eden. *chef's kiss* Jo Raylan brought Eden to life giving us the scared, unsecure Eden to the strong and passionate one. Loved. It. All. 5 glorious stars!

New To Me Author

S.M. West was a new to me author and I ended up really enjoying this audiobook! Both narrators did a great job showing emotion and bringing the story to life.
Walker is a Canadian billionaire (single dad! 😉) who meets the heroine, Eden in the most unique meet-cute!
I loved that the heroine was so smart and focused on becoming an entrepreneur.
I would definitely be interested in reading some of the previous books in the series and the new ones!
You might enjoy this book if you like the tropes:
-Billionaire
-Opposites attract
-Workplace romance
-Dual POV
Thank you to HomeCookedBooks for sending me a free audiobook.
I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Corporate Espionage & HEA

A sizzling romance, witty banter, and corporate espionage make Stealing the Billionaire another hit in SM Wests’s 6ix Loves series.

Aaron Shedlock is awesome as the gruff, bachelor billionaire, Walker. Aaron’s characterizations are spot-on; from the ranch to the board room, Aaron’s performances ensnare readers. Jo Raylan is a newer-to-me narrator and I enjoyed her performance of Eden. Her portrayal of Walker matched Aaron’s tone and character choices really well. I enjoyed this narration pairing; Jo & Aaron’s pacing, cadence, and endearing styles brought Eden and Walker’s love story to life in a lovely way.

Favorite Meet Cute

This book stole my heart from the very first page. It was the first time I have read a book by this author and will definitely be adding more the author to my list. The meet cute in this book had to be one of my favorites. It felt a bit like insta-like … not love and I liked the progression at which their relationship unfolded. I am not a huge fan of billionaire romances. I've only loved a few because I’m used to the Billionaire who thinks he’s better than everyone or has some kind of screwed up past, but Walker was a good guy with genuine intentions. I even liked the ex. She was a genuine character too.

This book was enjoyable as an audiobook. I’m a fan of Aaron Shedlock and knew I had to give it a listen. Jo Raylan is new for me and I thought she did a great job giving each female character their own distinct voice.

Fun, sweet and steamy

I love when a book starts with a fun meet cute. “Stealing the Billionaire” is a fun, sweet, steamy and emotional story that was fun at the beginning and continued on to a great story that I couldn’t put it down.

Eden is out of a job after finding out her current employer is less than honest with how she gets her “ideas”. On her way out, she steals her own work and literally stumbles into a limo with Walker Drummond sitting inside. Walker is a successful businessman who knows how to separate business with pleasure but there is something about Eden that captures his attention.

Eden and Walker were so much fun to listen to. I loved how they met and the chemistry that was there right from the beginning. They had great banter and were a great match for each other. They were opposites in some things but also similar in other things. Eden was a normal girl who wanted to succeed in business and felt out of place in Walker’s world. Walker is guarded at first because of his failed marriage but he realizes that he can have a career and a life outside of it. These two are so great at communicating and I loved that there was never any crazy miscommunication which can kill a romance quickly.

Aaron Shedlock and Jo Raylan narrated this story and were so great. They did an amazing job bringing the passion that Eden and Walker had for each other and for their businesses.

Enjoyable!

This book was so much fun! Narrators Aaron Shedlock and Jo Raylan did a great job preforming this book!
I enjoyed finally getting Walker’s story! Stealing the Billionaire by S.M. West showcased the struggles and insecurities the characters faced. Main character, Eden’s unfortunate messy situation with her prior boss, becomes the reason she inadvertently meets Walker and it was so cute and funny. It had an exceptional endearing quality about it. Walker’s past which makes it hard for him to trust made him frustrating at times, but his actions were understandable.
Also, in this audiobook characters from the past books in this series made an appearance, which made me really happy! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this audiobook.

Great romance listen

Stealing The Billionaire is my first SM West book, but it won't be my last. I can't wait to go back and listen to more, especially the first three books in this series of standalone romances.

I loved how Walker and Eden met, and their attraction felt very natural. From their first meeting, Eden made a lasting impression on Walker. She impressed him with her wit and business acumen, which is really saying something as Walker is not a man that is easily impressed. These are two sharp, strong characters, driven to achieve, and they match up very well. Their romance is passionate and lasting. Add Walker's son to the mix, and they are a beautiful family.

The audio, narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Jo Raylan is simply wonderful. They both bring so much emotion to the roles, and capture the personality of their characters. I could listen to them narrate for days.

The Upside of Unlocked Doors

4.5 stars - Oh, how I love Walker Drummond and Eden Carpenter together. And the way Eden just clicks with Alex... it's spectacular. 💙❤️ I love the twists and how this plays out. Each makes some missteps, and I like how they ultimately handle them.

Once I started listening, I did not want to stop. I really love the flow and the dynamics between all of the characters. I also like how the antagonists get theirs. ⚖️

I also like the side story of Suki and Lou, as well as the budding friendships with Tom, August, and others. There's also Vanessa, who shows some vulnerability. It was a really good moment.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Aaron Shedlock and Jo Raylan. I really like both, but I do wish it was in duet narration. Oh, well. 🤷‍♀️

Great Romance

The beginning of this book reminded me so much of Pretty Woman, without the hooker. This is the same typical romcom but how Eden and Walker get there is so special. I like how they meet, I woulda been so embarrassed. I was so caught up in this story that I didn't realize I was so close to the end, I wanted more. The narrators did an exceptional job bringing these characters to life. I will now have to listen to the first three books.
