Editorial reviews

The iMinds Travel series is both an excellent way of shoring up one's knowledge before a trip, or of simply getting a virtual experience of a destination without ever boarding a plane. In this episode, Australian actress Abbey Holmes explores London's St. Paul's Cathedral from the inside and out. Her smooth and voluptuous voice takes listeners into the Whispering Gallery, to the memorials in the Crypt, and to the Treasury while also touching on the 1981 wedding of Prince Charles to Diana and the tragic fates met by all other cathedrals that have stood at the same site since 1604. Shifting mood music reflects the content of the narration, from war to Jubilees.

Critic reviews

"I'm learning all sorts of stuff about stuff I didn't even know I didn't know. And it sticks. In a nutshell: wonderful." (Jonathon Margolis, Financial Times)

604AD to Current Day St. Paul's Cathedral

This eight minute listen is concise, informative and a great introduction to the history of St. Paul's Cathedral in London. It peaked my interest so much that I had to go back and dig some more to learn all I could about the original cathedral. Rich in artistic and architectural beauty, as well as historical and religious significance, St. Paul's Cathedral is visited by many every year. It remains an active congregation with several services daily. Don't miss this great audio!
