Publisher's summary

After I suddenly lose my husband, Patrick, in a senseless shooting, I’m lost in a sea of well-meaning people trying to make the unimaginable seem possible. How am I supposed to go on without the man who's been at the center of my life for nearly a decade? My friends and family do what they can for me, but I quickly realize that surviving this loss is going to be on me. One day to the next, I have to make the decision to go on, but life isn’t done throwing me ringers, and just when I think I’ve got this young-widow game figured out, I find out how wrong I am.

When a friend of my sister’s connects me to the Wild Widows, I find a group of fellow travelers who understand my new reality in a way no one else in my life ever could. The Wild Widows have one requirement for membership to their group: I must be open to the possibility of a "Chapter Two", which is what they call a second chance at love. While I’m not in any way looking for or ready for a Chapter Two, if I’ve learned anything, it’s that I’m not in control of where this journey will take me.

Come along as Roni and the other Wild Widows navigate their new realities with grace, humor, and compassion. They will make you laugh and cry and root for each and every one of them in this exciting, heartfelt new series.

One of her best!

It takes a lot for me to give a five star review. A LOT.. This book took me by surprise when I could not stop listening as I fell in love with the characters. All of the characters. At one point I felt myself getting choked up and couldn’t believe…I mean, maybe for an epic Kristin Hannah novel, but part of a series? It was just that good. What a great start to a new series that will be a pre-purchase in the future!

Love Marie but narrator too much

True Marie Force fan here but had to switch to reading the book. Narrator just too hard to listen to. Every single consonant at the end of each word does not have to be sounded out. I listen to hours of audio books and this was bad.

Attention: Lisa Edgar

I have been waiting for months to read and listen to this novel! I haven’t finished it yet but I expect it to be wonderful, as Marie Force has yet to write something I didn’t enjoy. However, I DON’T appreciate reading the happy ending in the review above. Lisa Edgar- you realize you spoiled the plot twist for the millions of us who haven’t read or listened to this book yet, right? How about you edit your review so the HEA isn’t ruined? Please and thank you.
Jeez, you would think people would be considerate of others but apparently not. I’m sure Marie Force loves reading wonderful reviews but please join her FB page specifically made to discuss the books. That’s where people list the spoilers and discuss the book, so as not to spoil it for everyone.
That is all. Rant over.
PS- Narrators are awesome. Sebastian York could read the dictionary and I’d be happy. =)

Someone Like You

Marie did an awesome job of making this story real. Not only does she get the emotions and feelings right but also making the reader realize that is no right or wrong way to grieve. That grief is different for everyone. Great series. Highly recommend not only this book but her Fatal Series and her First Family Series as well. If you haven’t read any of the others, start with Fatal Affair, which starts all of this story.

Outstanding story and narration

Wow, Someone Like You, the first book in the Wild Widows Series, a spin off from the Fatal Affairs and First Family series from Marie Force certainly packs a punch. .Janine Granda and Sebastian York did an outstanding job bringing this book to life.

This book was an emotional roller coaster of a read and one I couldn’t put down once I started it. We met Roni Connolly in Fatal Reckoning when tragedy struck and devastated her life, so I couldn’t wait to see what Ms. Force had in store for her. This book was everything I was expecting and so much more.

If this book is anything to go by, Marie Force has yet another winning series on her hands. This book got to me on a number of levels and I felt as though it burrowed into my soul. My emotions were all over the place; there were times that I laughed and times that I cried but throughout this read I felt the hope, love and support that surrounded Roni.

There were times that my heart broke for Roni and the devastating grief that appears to be smothering her. This story tackles a number of difficult issues and Ms. Force handled them with grace and dignity; she didn’t shy away from the hard realities that life can throw at us.

This is a story of hope and second chances, it was realistic, emotional and extremely well written.

Roni's Story

Thank you Ms. Force for Roni's story. Have been wanting to know how her life progressed. I try not to give spoilers for any story and this one would be quite easy to do. Suffice to say I enjoyed this story and can't wait for Iris' story. Great book, well worth the credit/money. I cried, laughed and held my breath. Another fine author!

Another wonderful book by Marie Force

This book was so good. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it far exceeded my expectations. It is so full of so many emotions that I laughed. I cried. I got angry and lastly I was happy to read about such a great group. I found myself hoping groups like this truly existed. The world would be a better place for it. So happy to have a new series to add to all my other Marie Force books. I can’t wait to read the next one!
