About this listen

Contains books one and two of the humorous sci-fi Jane Bond series.

Some Assembly Required, book one

An alien pilot. A chocolate cake. A doomed relationship or two.

Jane’s life as an elementary school librarian gets sidetracked when she digs up the AI pilot of a 140-million-year-old spacecraft. Now, she’s running all over the world looking for spaceship parts, falling in and out of love, and trying to keep her friends from thinking she’s crazy. To make matters worse, the ship she’s recovering is starting to sound a bit more like the Death Star than the Millennium Falcon. When did life get so complicated?

Dark Side of the Moon, book two

Fully stocked spaceship garage - check. Fully prepped spaceship - check. Fully trained...and ready to pilot? Jane’s got her own spaceship, but she has no idea how to even get it out of the garage, let alone fly it. No worries, everything’s under control - meet Olive, Jane’s new pilot!

Jane finds some very interesting things in the basement left behind when Kit went away. Among them is a fully operational space ship. After an almost shattering start, Jane and her friends are globetrotting again, with the addition of Olive to pilot the ship - and make pancakes. Olive isn’t a real person, but she’s working hard at becoming one - and learning how to make pancakes and waffles along the way. But will pancakes be enough to deal with Jane’s mom and whatever lies on the dark side of the moon?

Very entertaining

Offense full look into the future of AI. And how it would apply to advance robotics in a fantasy world.

Bond Jane Bond

Spoiler Alert:
sorry but it's part of my thoughts of dislikes and likes and need to explain why i saying it

No Sci-Fi please:
I was expecting a spy mystery book but got more. I do not like SY-FI so glad it was not too much. It captivating who Jane 's mother is works for. It makes an interesting scenario for Jane. Yes I enjoy this book and it left me want to read the 3 book which is in my wish list.

Why I gave the overall 4 star:

why bring Dale back and then later in second book again. What Dale is is unspeakable but guess Jane is a very very nice person. Jame is an individual adventure girl like Laura Craft. No need for a male partner. I am glad though to see that Bailey is now working with Jane.

Story is difference and fresh. I enjoy each chapter and it keeps me wanting to read the next chapter. Other than the rotten Dale I have relish the entire series (book 1 & 2) thus far. I eagerly wait for the next adventure of Bond Jane Bond.

Thanks for reading my rant......

Very Immersive Story

I’m hooked! Cannot wait for more of it!
All characters are very well depicted and with great care.
You can feel all the emotion and humor put into every situation making you feel as if your in the same room.
The narrator shows all the characters told about with full range of emotion and wit.
Thank you for the adventure and hoping more will come soon.

Excellent beginning

I’m curious to see where it goes. I love the characters and the author does a great job of bringing the world to life.

Being a Washington native who actually attended Chelan grade school it was fun to see a piece of my childhood brought to life.

This is a really fun and well performed story. I recommend it to anyone. The author is not afraid to move the story along.

Very Entertaining Story and Great Performance

This was very entertaining, had just the right amount of pop culture references and snark with out being over done. Tess Irondale is Awesome she is one of the best narrators on Audible.

A fun and warm story, I enjoyed it

A fun and warm story, I enjoyed it because the firs book was like a scavenger hunt with a twist and fun characters. The second book was had great characters that grew with a bit of mystery and adventure toward the end. Joy and fun without things needing to blow up every 5 minutes.

I really enjoyed the read

I was ready to book publisher pack and didn’t even realize it in two days. The story is good with just the amount of happy fun with mild foreshadowing. It makes me want more I already bought the second publishers pack.

Fun and light-hearted sci-fi for the ladies

A comical and witty sci-fi story to escape from reality into. Not only is the narrator a delight, the story is fast-paced and quite endearing. I'm from Central Washington so I absolutely love that my area (among others) is highlighted in all it's geographic and seasonal glory. Jane is NOT James' brother, which I kind of expected. Instead she is uniquely her own, over the top, goofy female who tries to be and do everything and somehow finds herself the lucky friend of the coolest AI ever. Jane's world is a fun one to hop into if you're looking for light-hearted, sci-fi escape.
