By now you know that getting enough sleep is one of the fundamental keys to overall health and well-being. But, achieving optimal shuteye and truly winding down at night are skills that few seem to have mastered.

Aaptiv’s Sleep Better program includes seven classes led by meditation and mindfulness expert Jade Alexis. On day one of the program you’ll begin with ten minutes of relaxation and focus on your breath. As the week progresses you’ll graduate to a 30-minute session and incorporate techniques that train your body to release tension and prepare for deep sleep including breathwork, body scans, and yoga nidra - a type of meditative state achieved before sleep.

This program is designed to be taken as many times through as you wish and can be referred back to as often as you need.

Maybe it’s her voice or the wobbly background sounds, but I gave up by episode 3.

Not relaxing

I have to slow it down due to the instructor speeding through what’s supposed to be a calming meditative track on sleep, and even on slow the audio sounds tinny like it was overly compressed. I’m sure it does help people, but the quality just isn’t there and there’s tons of better things out there, even for free.

I’ve used Sleep Better for the last 3 nights. The first day was very relaxing. I enjoyed the breathing exercises. I did make it through the entire session before falling asleep. However, day 2&3 was much quicker. Within minutes of listening to each session I was asleep and didn’t wake up until morning.

I have major sleep issues thanks to chronic illness, and this series really helped me (as a companion with my medication). My only complaint would be that the music was distracting and pulled me out of the meditation.

I wish I had never downloaded this I can’t get it off my phone it is the worst, stupid and it’s gonna waste your space no matter what you do you’re stuck with it

Like a venereal disease to your phone

I am not sure if it is how it’s read or the diction or just her voice but I found it impossible to listen to the course because of it. Sorry, I’m sure there is great information in the course.

I did not like the second performance. It is too rapid for me. The app allows too much light without a dark choice.

Light in the room is blinding and too rapid

Easiest and quickest way I’ve found to fall asleep. I’ve been using it for a year and it truly helps me relax and get rest.
