About this listen
Who’d break in and leave the house untouched? When Michael and Hilda return from holiday to find two police officers awaiting them, a chaotic series of events ensues. The police have had an anonymous tip-off about child pornography being stored on Michael‘s computer. It’s easy to prove his innocence, but who would do such a thing and why?
At the same time it becomes clear that someone was living in the cottage while they were away, and may still be returning. Soon, they decide to take action of their own, with devastating consequences...

An excellent story.
This is a stand alone book, but does have Honey Laird as a character. She is in charge of the investigation, but the story centers on Hilda and Michael. They are a couple that live in a small Scottish town. He is a computer expert and a commercial genealogist, she is a secretary and book keeper.
The first chapter of the book is not indicative of the rest of the book. It depicts a despicable gangster that is the ultimate quarry of Honey Laird's investigation. Hilda and Michael are swept up in what becomes a mess when they return from an eventful holiday. Someone has been in their home.
This one has lots of charm and is performed well. I thoroughly enjoyed that narrator's reading.
