Acerca de esta escucha

Rock Bannon is a man bred to the Colt and the rugged law of frontier survival. But to a group of naive homesteaders, his reputation as a gunfighter marks him as an outcast among decent folk. So when a smooth-talking scoundrel comes to camp, no one is ready to listen to Bannon's warning. He alone knows that Mort Harper's route leads to certain massacre. Now it is up to Bannon to protect the greenhorn settlers - especially the beautiful Sharon Crockett - and convince them of the truth about Harper before it is too late. For even if the wagon train survives the hostile Indians and desert ahead, it is bound for Bishop's Valley and a vicious land war - a war that will force Bannon to oppose the innocent settlers.

Louis L'Amour introduces his fans to one of his favorite - and lesser known - characters from his vintage "magazine novels". Now the story of Rock Bannon comes to life again in this exciting program.

The dramatized version has long been my favorite. Glad to be able to hear it again.

I really like that this book is dramatized. The added music makes it more enjoyable. Good story.

If your look for western where the author understands the times and the people Louis L'amour is it. He's not only an amazing story teller but he also studied and learned how the people where back then. He also studied the land and how it made the people in it. You can't go wrong with any book by Louis L'amour.

Another good story by Louis L'amour

Richard Crenna is great! Wish Audible could get the versions of L'amour's "Hartman's Castle/Trap of Gold" also narrated by Crenna.

If you’ve listened to books by Louis L'Amour before, how does this one compare?

Not one of his best. I listen to many of his, and love them all. This one has many, many characters, and a subtle story line -- a little tough to follow.

What three words best describe Richard Crenna’s voice?

Pleasant and expressive.

Too many characters, hard to follow
