About this listen

The final act in the best-selling Widows series.

After serving a lengthy sentence for the murder of her husband, Dolly Rawlins is free from prison. And she's only got one thing on her mind: the diamonds she stashed before the police caught her.

But there are people waiting for Dolly on the outside - tough ex-prisoners who know about the diamonds, and they all want a cut.

Also waiting for Dolly is DS Mike Withey. He holds her personally responsible for the death of his sister in the diamond raid 10 years earlier. And he wants her back inside.

Dolly Rawlins has other plans. But can she realise the dream that kept her going all those years in prison and avoid those who are after her?

Great!

Spoiler Alert! Please don't keep reading my review, if that would ruin the book for you!

Wow, what a story! Loved it. Dolly in the lead of that "lot" of women, was like trying to herd not only cats, but wild cats at that. They would have driven me crazy and I would have lost my patience with them early on. However, Dolly was the thinker and planner. The ending definitely surprised me, but live by the gun...... Have to backtrack now to book one of this series.

Fascinating listen!

I'm just going to say right up front that I didn't like the ending. It wasn't anything that I could have been prepared for and it made me sad.
Having said that, we can talk about what a fantastic story it was and how much I enjoyed listening to it. These ladies are so unique and fleshed out you feel like you know them. Each with her own criminal gifts as well as a true heart.
You find yourself rooting for them as they go about the business of planning the next headline grabbing heist. The ups and downs as they interact with each other keep your interest perked and Dolly is a hell of a ring leader. It's obvious that she loves the ladies she's plotting with even if she keeps them in line with a firm hand.
Then they bring in the little girls and you'll find yourself laughing and crying and truly realizing how much love the ladies have to give, how deeply it's been buried and how amazing it is that all that love gets to see the light of day!

Didn't like the ending

Story us good. I didn't like some if the interaction of the widows or the way they spoke to each other. The ending was disappointing. I'm left wanting to understand.
