Publisher's summary

An enhanced audiobook, with complete music score and extensive sound effects to add to your listening experience.

The bride carried no decaying roses, but her bridal dress was torn and burnt. Her bare legs, starved needle points, staggered disjointedly. The veil hung low over her face. I had my pistol, however I could not shoot. If it was a ghost, the bullet would surely pass through. If it was flesh, then I would be shooting dead a woman. Her hands, the fingernails long and cracked, lifted up the veil. Her face! Even in the darkness I could see its ruin. The eyes had been snatched from its sockets, the nose sunken in; all that was left was the mouth. Thin, melted lips parted to reveal brown chipped teeth.

A Roger Rittner Production. Pulp Radio - Audio Dramas. Narrated by Ian Whitcomb, with Barbara Goodson and J.W. Terry. Announced by Dave Mallow.

A Full Cast Immersion

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

What a wonderful performance, complete with sound effects and voice characters for all roles.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Faceless Bride?

The interplay between Sherlock Holmes and Dr.Watson is pulled off to perfection. As a child, I used to listen to the Sherlock Holmes radio presentations. This audiobook reminded me so much of those recordings.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was one of the few full cast performances I have listened to, and it really made the story come to life.

Who was the most memorable character of Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Faceless Bride and why?

Dr. Watson. As usual, he is the perfect compliment to Sherlock Holmes.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this very entertaining audiobook. The story is well developed and the actors all do a masterful job.

Entertaining addition to your Sherlock library

This was a enjoyable Sherlock Holmes story and had all the elements of a solid Arthur Conan Doyle story, namely interesting characters, a puzzle, Sherlock being difficult, Watson being decent, some danger, and a little bit of humor. It was definitely scary and creepy, and the ending did surprise me.

This was a really good listen as an audio book and perfect for an October night. The actors did a great job, although early on the sound effects may have been a bit too loud along with the talking. At 30 minutes I thought it was a perfect length.
