Pretty okay

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes, it was only three hours. A good short read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Seduced by the Vampire King?

Loved the beginning of the book.

What three words best describe Raquel Harris’s performance?

She should do Russian accents. Other than that she was great.

Do you think Seduced by the Vampire King needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Sure. I wouldn't mind learning more about the vampire world.

Short ..... but oh so sweet

Give me a vampire romance story and I'm happy - and this one is no exception. He is mentally tortured by the death of his brothers and she is drawn to an area of Moscow but she doesn't know why or what's waiting for her there.

It is what it is - a short story but it packs a lot into the 3hrs and I'm not at all disappointed - it was yummy.

I wish it would have been longer!

Very good story, I wish it would have been longer so we could get more details on the bad guys and the warriors and their battles. Along the lines of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. The romance was a bit over the top at times, but when you get in that mindset you enjoy it quite a bit. Strong leading lady. It was definitely worth the purchase. It was like a Paranormal Romance appetizer.

A great second book

The narration for this book was excellent, the character voices were all great and consistent and the pacing was well done.

This story takes place in a different location and with different characters to the first book in the series so from that perspective there's no follow on, but the information about the world/setting in the first book is necessary for this book to make sense, so listen to book one first.

Once again this book is short but packs a lot in, it hits the road running and never stops.

There's plenty of interesting character interactions, and a few sections on angst/tension with lots of sexy scenes throughout.

I really enjoyed it and I've got book three downloaded and ready to listen to next.

Too crude

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

It was too short. Storyline was ok but I felt like there was a lot that I did not know about the vampire/human culture and traditions. It was difficult to emmerse myself and to relate to any of the characters. I sappose that is the number one reason I do not recommend it or will I listen to it again. The love scenes were poorly written and the terms used were degrading and inappropriate for romance.

Russian vampire, American virgin

Quick vampire read in to despair recklessness, sorrow, need, hunger, desire. Kate leaves home and her duty to go thousands of miles to be right in the same situation. Alhough this time the path for her is clear.

Raquel did a good job of luring me in with her diction and accents.

Good PNR short story :)

3-3.5 stars

This was a good short story. Kate seemed nice and Nikolai was a bit of a jerk at first but he came around.

Kate is the daughter of 2 humans that work on a counsel with good vampires that fight against rogue vampires. Kate had been training to be part of that society and even possibly become a vampire's mate but disliked the idea of that kind of connection to a vampire she didn't know or like. She decided to go to Russia for her studies to avoid the vampire issue for now.

Nikolai is the Vampire King in the Russian area. He recently lost his brothers to a battle against rogues and now doesn't feel fit to be King. He certainly doesn't believe he deserves anything good in life...

Nikolai is out hunting rogue vampires one night and decides to do so without backup from his vampires. He gets in over his head and is injured, barely getting away in time. He collapses in an alleyway and is no where near help and has no way to call for help. Kate, being unable to sleep and feeling restless, happens to twist her ankle right outside the alley where Nikolai is and finds him there. When she realizes he's a vampire (and she confirms he's not a rogue) she knows she must hide him from other humans. While she's doing this she notices a connection between them and she feels fiercely protective over him. Things go a bit wonky but Nikolai is rescued and Kate gets taken along while things are sorted out. When Nikolai wakes from his injuries he finds he wants Kate but he wont allow himself to have her and hurts her in the progress. Things do get worked out between them when Nikolai stops fighting the mating urge and he and Kate end the story starting their HEA together.

This was an enjoyable story. I didn't read book #1 in the series but there was nothing that indicated to me that I was missing part of the story because of that. Nikolai and Kate were both likable characters and I liked their story but I do wish there had been a little more of it to flesh out the ending a bit. :)

Short but good

I enjoyed listening to this book on Audible. The narrator did an OK job with the various voices. I liked the characters, storyline, and overall book (even though it was short). Fun quick read!
