About this listen

Kip Kensington owes 400 hours of community service for a joy ride gone wrong. Jordan Rice has no time for younger women with "trouble" written all over them no matter how sexy they might be, even if she is in desperate need of more hands - and more funds - to keep her community garden project alive. Kip's past follows her into Jordan's carefully constructed, and safe, world, disrupting Jordan's orderly life and threatening to uncover all the secrets she'd locked away: secrets she guarded as closely as her heart. Together they discover the only way to build a future is to make peace with the past.

Great book

Very well written, makes you feel like the characters are real people. I will read more of Radclyffes books.

Interesting and engaging!

This story is, in many ways, a typical girl meets girl and they find themselves in near instant attraction kind of story, but that is where the similarities pretty much end. Radclyffe does an excellent job of weaving a unique story for this love story to take place. The characters are full and flushed out, making them interesting to follow along on their respective individual as well as paired journey through the story. The Narrative flows easily and smoothly throughout the story, keeping the reader/listener engaged the whole way through. AJ Ferraro, the narrator for this story, does an amazing job of pulling the reader into Kip and Jordan’s world. Giving the various characters in the story their own unique voices and beautifully breathing life into the characters with every word she reads.

I have been reading Radclyffe’s work for over 15 years now, but this is the first time I’ve had the chance to listen to one of her books brought to life in Audiobook form, and I was not disappointed at all to have this story be the first. I would highly recommend this story/audiobook and this author in general.

Man that Radclyffe is a remarkable writer! Her ideas are current and stories that keep my heart beating fast - and such an imagination! This is a great book and once again I could use a sequel!! Characters are awesome, the reader is too -- Radclyffe why'd you have to be so good?? Another marvelous book!!

Excellent!

Secret Hearts is another winner by Radclyffe. Great love story. It's nice to read a great story without all the lesbian love story drama. Excellent narration by AJ Ferraro. She 's not my favorite narrator, but on the list of good ones. It's great that the Audible version is out as quick as the e book version.

Like an Old Girlfriend

My first "mature" lover introduced me to lesbian romance in general, and Radclyffe specifically. That particular lady and is a good memory for me and so I've either read or listened to most of her books. The author turns 67 this year and her characters have become, for the most part, harder and harder for me to recognize as women who are supposed to be in my age group. On the other hand the lady can make you love and want a woman and a love like that even if you don't believe it's actually possible. This is simply is another of her books that you enjoy for what it is and hope that if by some miracle the women does exist that the two of you find each other.

What a great story.

I loved this book. It caused all kinds of emotions. The narrator was amazing keeping a great flow with the story.
The main characters were well developed. I feel the background story with Randy the brother could of been a bit more explained. I feel this might of shown us why Kip was so stressed out when it came to her life.
Also, the men in black... was strange when there was no real indication of her actual job. until they showed up.
But over all it's a great book to read, very entertaining with a great love story that blooms from it.
This is a must read for yourself.

Wow

Definitely not one of the better stories. The narrator made it seem like watching paint dry would be infinitely more interesting. It was a struggle to make it through the entire story and I’m not sure how I actually feel about it. I can’t tell if the story was bad, or the narrator was so bad that it ruined the entire story.

Must be a mistake, this can't be Radclyffe

I've read everything Radclyffe has written. SecretvHearts is not up to her usual quality. Not even close. The nuration is even worse then the writing. I sounds like I'm listen to an armature fifteen year old.
