Publisher's summary

We humans are prone to failure. We’re experts at muddying, mixing, and messing up our lives. Who among us hasn’t looked up from the bottom of a pit and realized he dug it himself? Who hasn’t fallen so far, messed up so badly that she thought there was no hope? And it’s at these low points that we crave reminders that there’s hope for the broken.

No reminder is quite as poignant as a story of second chances. A story of grace in action. Who couldn’t use more stories of grace like this?

Second Chances is an ideal companion to GRACE: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine. Filled with biblical, contemporary, and imaginative accounts of God’s grace in action pulled from Max’s previously published works, Second Chances includes tales of second chances for the rebellious, prideful, failure-prone, and more. From Peter to King David to a prodigal daughter, these stories will remind listeners of the magnitude of the gospel of second chances.

!Eye Opening!

I am a fellow Christian and lover of God and Jesus and I have absolutely adored all of the books and sermons I have read and heard so far by Max Lucado. Him and Joyce Meyer are my top two favorites. Max being my number one if I HAD to choose a number one. His books ALAWYS helps me look at things in a new and/or improved perspective and I'm just so grateful to him for that. This time I specifically chose to read this particular book by him because I was recently caught up in actively sinning and knowing what I was doing was a sin but kept doing it anyway. I felt it hard spiritually. I felt such shame and much guilt. I felt horrible within as if I was choosing to allow the Devil to win over God concerning me and I HATED that. I ALWAYS want the Devil to know that God has me and my heart and ALL of me ALWAYS to the very best of my human ability. Finally I reached out for helped in stopping what I was doing and I succeeded with the extra support. I feel much better knowing that I chose to stop my sin and turn fully back to God despite it being hard to do on my own. But sometimes we're gonna need other fellow Christians to help us. And that's ok. That's one reason God wants us to commune with one another. To help each other and love one another. At our bests and at our worst. Even after I went running back to God's arms and apologized I still felt some left over shame so this book about second chances was really important for me to just be reminded of. And just to be reminded of God's grace and unending unchanging love for us! Max Lucado you never let me down. God YOU never let me down!!! And shout out to the narrator whom I thought did an amazing job!! I love this book and highly recommend to others!!
