18 mins is not "unabridged."

My daughter loves the book this purports to be an adaptation of. It's got 9 stories.

Picking up the audiobook felt like a no-brainer for the car, but for some reason, this book only contains 3 of the 9 stories, and it's shorter than most of the rides we take!

It's unclear to me why this was released, except they perhaps anticipated parents like me would grab it without a second thought. That's a shame.

Only semi-related, I find the narration to be lackluster. It's perfectly clear and fine for a traditional audiobook, but the performance lacks any sort of fun or energy. There's even a character in one of the stories who talks about his "mates," which implies he's likely British, but for some reason, the performance has this NY accent, like a hybrid of John Mulaney and Andrew Dice Clay.

All in all, just a kind of baffling release, not worth a credit. And now I'm left wondering if they expect me to buy the next 3 stories, and again buy the last 3.

But nope, you fooled me once, and I'm out.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
