About this listen

What's a 40ish woman to do if her free-spirited elderly mom's moving in, her previously do-gooder teenage daughter's sneaking out, her prize-winning stud bulldog can't get it on, and her soon-to-be ex-husband can't get his mind off girls half his age?

A. Have nervous breakdown
B. Run away
C. Eat massive quantities of ice cream
D. See a counselor

CiCi Dupree chooses C. She doesn't have time for a breakdown, can't afford to run away, and she is a counselor.

Until she fears her daughter, and even her widowed mother, are repeating her mistakes. CiCi realizes she has to do something, because after all, her family ties might be a bit frayed, but they still could bind nonetheless.

A Delight

I have started to purchase this book several times over the last year or so, but something else would always some along, that I would choose instead. Well, last month it was on sale, so I thought, now is the time. I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed the book. If you are a mother wife or daughter, or espically all three, you will love this book. Don't wait like I did, get this book, you will be glade you did.

A great tale of 3 generations

This well-read story is the tale of 3 generations of women. Written with today's issues at the core, each woman tells her story from the media that relects her age.

A story of new love, lost love and found love, this book is a good time.

Painful

Average story, but painfully read by three different readers/actors. The mix of readers did not work well, and it turned what might have been a light, predictable story into one painfully long and irritating.

VIew from every age

This was a wonderful book to listen to. It was a view of life from every age as I listened to a teenager, her mother and grandmother. What fun to hear the differences and remember those years. Can't imagine any one not liking this one.

Sweet suprise

What a great story about mother-daughter relationships. I really enjoyed all of the characters (grandmother, mother, daughter, all their boyfriends.) The author captured the messy family, good and bad, sadness and new love. This is what some would call a "sleeper" but I enjoyed it!
