Thank you so much Dr. Barber for this magnificent work. Being a recent convert to the Catholic Church and coming from an evangelical background, I much appreciate the focus on salvation as a process as opposed to a one-and-done-are-you-saved event. Importantly, you have confirmed that, for initial salvation, the theology is the same: we are saved by grace, full stop. I am also a big Audible fan. The fact that you personally recorded your work is commendable. No one else, no matter the training, could have delivered your message better. Bravo!

So well written and read! Michael did a fabulous job of detailing out all of the works that Christ did on the cross to save us from our sin. So well thought out and displayed for the reader to understand. This book comes highly recommended.

The Audible Audiobook "Salvation" by Michael Barber, is beautifully read by the author, and answers so many questions about confusing terminology like "redemption", "atonement", and "justification". An excellent breakdown of how justification isn't just declaring us as righteous, but imparts Christ's righteousness to us. Very convincing scriptural analysis, all as confirmed in Catholic teaching as well. I really appreciated how he explained how the serpent's temptation of "to know good and evil" was basically referring to the prevalent desire to determine good and evil for ourselves. A really good breakdown of the threefold temptation of the serpent. Also an excellent logical and scriptural breakdown of why our relationship with Christ is familial in the sacraments, and not merely the "personal relationship with Christ is all that matters" concept, that seems to be the well-intentioned, but misguided, notion of many Christians. Such deep and sublime truths about our union with Christ, stated so plainly and matter-of-factly. It's another outstanding Michael Barber book that establishes him with Scott Hahn, John Bergsma, and Brant Pitre, as one of the best scriptural scholars of our time.

Wonderful book on salvation great read for Catholics and non Catholics alike! Read by the Author, certainly goes on my list of books to recommend!

Those is a must read. Allow yourself to grow in the understanding of Christ’s true teaching on salvation. It will explain why the Calvinist and other Protestant views on salvation are lacking and misunderstand scripture.
