Can anything taste sweeter than love?

When small-town girl Emma LaRue won a vacation to an exclusive tropical island, a last minute cancellation meant she would be going by herself. Shy and studious, she never had time to fall in love, and often wondered if she was just meant to be alone. However, that all changed when a handsome stranger literally walked into her life while on the beach and sparks begin to fly.

New York's most eligible billionaire bachelor Jack Saunders thought this vacation would be the perfect escape, one last hurrah, before taking full control of his father's company. When an innocent Emma didn't recognize him, he figured that he might get a chance to have a vacation from being rich. He didn't tell her about the cars, the yacht, or the penthouse. All he did was let her fall in love with him.

Soon, Jack found that he was the one falling in love with Emma. When they enjoy a fantasy marriage ceremony on the beach, they thought it was a bit of harmless fun before returning to their normal lives. A bittersweet goodbye was supposed to be the end of their perfect vacation romance, but when photos of the ceremony were leaked to the press, everything changed.

Feeling lied to and thrust into a world of wealth and privilege, Emma must choose between following her dreams or following her heart. Will she be content at being nothing more than the billionaire's wife, or will she return to her normal life with only memories of saltwater kisses?

not a bad story but the narrator sounds about as interested as if she is reading a newspaper. Her voice just goes on and on in a monotone will have trouble finishing the book.

I am new to the reviewing game so please, bear with me. I love romance novels! The main thing I look for in a book is that it takes me into it. I read/listen somewhere between 200 to 300 books a year, possibly more. I know, crazy! Because I am such a big reader, I am constantly looking for new authors to love, some of my favorites are Nora Roberts/J D Robb, Bella Andre, Elizabeth Lowell. I am always looking for new authors to add to this list. Well, I have now added a new author to that list, Krista Lakes.
I just finished re-reading "Saltwater Kisses". Why you ask did I re-read it? Because it is a great book, one that I just did not want to put down. The characters are really thought out and scenes are all really well written. "Saltwater Kisses" will make you laugh, cry and cheer for Emma and Jack, and their life together, and to think they have a spiteful ex secretary to thank for that...... Oh wait, you have to read the book to find out what happens.

Most probably. I love the story and considering that I listened to it even though I already read the book most probably I would listen to it again :)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Saltwater Kisses?

I love the moment when they meat and then in the end of the book when she goes to the river and the flowering threes and he comes after her to apologize and tells her he loves her :)

What about Alicia Harris’s performance did you like?

She is really good in personalizing the different characters and very easily understandable. I definitely enjoyed listening the book :)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It definitely made me laugh. The book is easy to read and the story is just lovely :)

I love the Kisses Series and enjoy all the books together with all Krista Lakes' books :)

This was a very lovely romantic novel which wa going along so well when right out of the blue, the author ruins her sweet love story by describing the couple's lovemaking so graphically it turned this reader's stomach.

This ended to soon. It was an inspiring love story. I was really caught up with the way these two finally realized they were meant to be together. A real good read.

Don't have a favorite character in the book.

Have you listened to any of Alicia Harris’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this is my first book. The only thing missing about this story line, I wished it can move of Jack side of the story - too many missing gaps.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I like how Emma stood up to Jack's parents.

the narrator pulled off both male and female voices well and brought the story to life

What could Krista Lakes have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

a little more character depth and have Jack try harder to fit Emma into his schedule when they return to NYC

What does Alicia Harris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love audio books because when the narration is good - as this reader was, one can picture the characters more clearly and imagine being in the story
