No emotional connection b/t characters. Meet, sex, no real connection, separation, he treats her like shit, and then they just reconnect and she’s his one true love? No mafia stuff, just in background. And a big plot point is just wrapped up in a couple of paragraphs. Didn’t work for me.

I was pretty impressed that it was better than I expected. I loved their story line. I did want a better epilogue about them not the brother.

This was different & in a great way. Loved how this story flowed. This was my first story I’ve listened to from this Author. Loved this couples story & how complicated their love story was. How we are introduced to the characters that will obviously be in the next book. I’m intrigued.
So of course I basically got this because of Jacob Morgan. Which of course he rocked it, I love his voice. Stephanie Rose has a great voice & I enjoyed her reading as well.

I listened to this a few months back so I don't remember a ton of specifics. What I do remember, though, was that I thought the heroine was very frustrating. She was always doing childish things, which a friend of mine blamed on her being sheltered, but I wish she would have grown up.

I could listen to the male narrator all day, but the female narrator sounded like sh was trying to seduce with every word she spoke. She could've toned that down some in my opinion.

To sayI loved it would be understating!!!
Non stop action, dirty deals , dirtier people, hot alphas, hotter sex..... love, betrayal, honor, killing, disappointment, love and you better grow the f**k up quick chickie ( lead female)......well you get the idea now get the book it does not disappoint!
The narration is so good that Stephanie had me hating the lead female, I wanted to rip her out of the pages and smack some sense in her!! And Jacob (swoon) .......,... he could make the US tax rolls sexy.....,.

really enjoyed this series! the narration was a little stiff but it was a very enjoyable read. high spice and heavy mafia themes. really well done.

A mafia arranged marriage romance
Amelie & Luca
Amelie is promised off to a mob family, but on the day of her wedding something tragic happens and she ends up instead married to another brother. Luca is not without enemies, from multiple locations. They take off due to the wedding day event only to be faced with more threats.
Amelie is fierce and strong and bold and everything you want in a leading character being thrown into a mob family. Luca is possessive with redeeming qualities and you just fall for him a little at a time.

This was my first book by S Massery, and I am without a doubt going to read her “Fallen Royals” series next. It was so well written, the voice of the story just captivated me. It was easily a five star read for me before halfway through. I didn’t want to put it down but also didn’t want it to be over. I can’t wait for a continuation in the DeSantis series.
