About this listen

The crew of the You Sexy Thing navigates the aftermath of facing down a pirate king and the relationships that they have created with one another in Cat Rambo's action adventure science fiction Rumor Has It, the third book in the Disco Space Opera.

The crew of the You Sexy Thing have laid a course for Coralind Station, hoping the station's famed gardens will provide an opportunity to regroup, recoup, and mourn their losses while finding a way to track down their enemy, pirate king Tubal Last.

All Niko wants to do is pry their insurance money from the bank and see if an old friend might be able to help them find Last. Unfortunately, old friends and enemies aren't the only unreliable elements awaiting her and the crew at Coralind.

Each will have to face themselves—the good and the bad—in order to come together before they lose everything.©2024 Cat Rambo (P)2024 Recorded Books

That story where the misfit crew has a weapon of unfathomable power, travels to a far flung station and finds trouble, and wins a climactic battle by joining hands.

Only this weapon is a magic gun that misfired in the previous book and is barely mentioned here.
The far flung station’s collection is flowers.
And the climactic battle is thirty seconds of audio, sans movie effects.

Three books in a row with only 1 paltry action scene at the end.
Three books were plot and character progression is infinitesimal.
Three books in a row where mid-level baddie Gnarl engages with elaborate traps, loses, and lives on.

If only the action, dialogue, or plot were on fire. I’m afraid for a series titled Disco Space Opera,
this is sorely lacking in bell bottoms, glitter, and Peter Quill dance fighting.

Guardians of the Galaxy… but with less oomph
