About this listen

A wildly funny, ridiculously romantic spinoff from best-selling author Melanie Summers....

Princess Arabella of Avonia is bored out of her ever-loving mind. No 28-year-old wants to live an endless loop of high teas, state dinners, and the same five conversations. They want freedom and adventure. After a wild night out in Ibiza ends in disaster, the royal handlers have shortened her leash considerably. Desperate for an out, she sneakily signs up to cohost a new nature docu-series, starring Will Banks, the man dubbed "McHotty of the Wilderness".

Will has ladies all over the globe lining up to meet him until a hot new adventurer comes on the scene, and his ratings take a nosedive. Producers decide an emergency change in format is in order. Enter Princess Arabella. The pampered and proper royal is the perfect foil to Will's rugged outdoorsman.

It's hate at first sight, but their on-screen loathing makes for great television. Surprisingly, when the cameras stop rolling, these two finally see each other's good sides. Can these opposites find their forever in each other's arms, or will their differences be their undoing?

Contains mature themes.

I liked this story, but the guy that narrated Will was really bad. His voice was stiff and forced, when this character should have felt tough and masculine. That part was a flop for me.

Cute Story

The male narrator was awful and he had a monotone robotic voice. Thankfully the female narrator was wonderful, so it didn’t completely ruin my enjoyment!

Great Story Wooden Narration

The actor playing Will had less emotion than and was more monotone than a book read by Artificial Intelligence.

Bad Narration

Great read to escape from less than pleasant events of current world. Just laugh and enjoy how one would like things to be

So glad to hear Arabella being so strong and independent!!! Love Will’s character and strength! He is the perfect yin to her yang. I’m waiting impatiently for the next book! Hurry up November!!!

Absolutely Loved It!!!

The story was a lot of fun. However, the male narrator had no range in his voice was flat, doll, and did not sound like somebody who was an adventure person. He tanked the story.

Fun story, interesting premise, male narrator boring

Bruce Mann is horrible...he is very robotic and hard to listen to...not sure who thought this was a good performance or this is the tone that needed to be set for the book but it does not work.

Male Performer is Robotic

I honestly thought Bruce Mann’s reading of Will’s story was computer generated because it’s so awful. It’s so flat, wooden and the inflection is all wrong. Was he treating it as a joke and doing the worst possible reading ever? I barely made it through the entire story. That said, if those parts could be reread it would be good.

Entertaining Story…Mostly

This is a spin off series and I really like the characters. The story was cute, although completely absurd. The female narrator was quite good, but the male narrator was horrible! He was completely monotone; it almost sounded as though he might have some sort of disorder. His terrible narration made it very hard to like the male character. The author was already working uphill, trying to get us to like a standoffish, aloof character. So to give him zero inflection to add a little personality made me question the entire premise of this guy being a TV personality. This is an audio book. Just telling us he's hot, doesn't sell it when his voice is not.
